What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent monitor After researching and comparing this monitor's quality and price to similar displays, it seemed like an excellent value. Connecting it to my MacBook Pro was a breeze and it works great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Picture Quality I was looking for a 4K monitor with a 16:10 aspect ratio for my new Mac Pro. This monitor replaced an older HD with a 16:10. With the 16:9 I really miss the lost real estate. But, from my research I could not find a 16:10? Seems 16:10 is only available in HD monitors. Also IMHO, the stand is sub par. It's too light and mounts to the monitor too low. Makes it top heavy and prone to falling over. However, this monitor has VESA mounting plate. My old monitor had a much better mount, that was mounted on that monitors VESA plate. I removed the LG stand and replaced it with the VESA stand. MUCH better. Now, picture quality, IMHO - EXCELLENT. Bright with good contrast, vivid colors. Really, a nice display. If it were only 3840 x 2400 I'd be thrilled.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great image I found this monitor to have the best images over 6 other monitors that were being displayed. The image is sharp and the colors are perfect.

Does the 24UD58-B use SST (single-stream transport) or MST (multi-stream transport) or something else?

Asked by: BobP64
In order to achieve 4K resolution at 60Hz, most early 4K displays on the market used Multi-Stream Transport (MST), a technology that stitches two halves of a display together into one large surface — also called a “tile” — in software. MST, can carry a signal for two or more monitors on a single cable, allowing for daisy chaining or hub configurations of multiple 4K monitors. More recent 4K displays like the LG 24'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor (24'' Diagonal), Model # 24UD58-B use Single-Stream Transport (SST), eliminating the need for stitching two halves of a display together in software. Instead, SST monitors feature scalers that support 4K resolution at 60 Hz over a single tile. MST can cause issues with in-game menus, BIOS screens, and scaling...^IFV

The 27UD58-B comes with a 1 year warranty. We do not rate our products on their lifecycle so we would not be able to provide this. This monitor is designed for residential use only.

Can use this monitor with an Apple Mini 2019 ?

Asked by: JonathanC11
I have this monitor connected to a 2018 Mac Mini (the machine you reference). It works okay but the internal graphics card on the Mini (Intel 630) is underpowered and makes the system buggy at resolutions much higher than FullHD (1920x1080). For reference, the Unigine Heaven Benchmark set to Medium comes up with an average Framerate of 2.3fps at 3840x2160 & 13.6fps at 1920x1080. If you want to use this as 4K resolution you'll probably want an external graphics solution. Also, if you want to use a TB3 to DisplayPort cable (or any cable that didn't ship with the monitor) it nags you every time you turn it on to use the cables that came with it.
