Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Monitor for about 2 years. The monitor has been incredible for about 2 years then the corners have slowly started to bleed pretty significantly. It has slowly gotten worse over the past month. I guess 2 years is the life of this monitor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good picture; no longevity Have this monitor since end of 2017 and it is suffering bad edge bleeding and image retention for the last 2 years. Otherwise the picture is great but definitely not a recommendation from my side.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product unable to last Have the monitor for 3 years, and the monitor starts to bleed around the edges. Not only that, there is image retention (ghosting) issue around the edge of the monitor. Extremely disappointed with such an expensive product from LG. Looking at other comments, this problem is very consistent across everyone's monitors. So if you don't want to purchase a product that can only last for 2-3 years, please do not buy this.

Will this charge a 16in MacBook Pro?

The USB-C port on the LG 27'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor (27'' Diagonal), Model # 27UD88-W has a power delivery of 60W. Check to see what the power draw is for your MacBook Pro 16" to determine if that will be enough to charge it...^IFV

I purchased two 27ud88 monitors to use with my 2019 MacBook Pro. When connected to just one monitor, I can decrease the display resolution from 4k to 2560 to 1440. When I connect BOTH monitors, I lose this option. I can only choose from 4k or 1980x1080.

My LG 27UD88 will no longer connect to anything with USB-C - I tried different devices and different cables.  Is there any way that the USB-C port has become disabled? I've also tried the reset that is in the menu on the display.  HDMI works

I use this monitor with my 2017 MacBook Pro 15 inch. Every time I use it it causes the fan on my laptop to spin fast, even when there's nothing rendering in the background. I use final cut pro a lot.

It's a known issue of Macbook Pro 15, only when using external monitors on HDMI/DisplayPort/other adapters. If you use it on Type-C it will not cause any heat.
