What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Triple 28MQ780-B for six headed work station. I now own three of these LG dual-up monitors arranged as a compact six headed display which is easier to mount on a table, has less weight, takes less power and easier to see all the pixels than my previous six monitors. The joystick menu button on the bottom edge of the display unit takes a while to learn. The HDMI and USB-C and Display Port work as expected, no unhappy surprises. I have not yet figured out a good way to switch display sources other than the manual joystick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Portrait Orientation is Awesome for Tall Documents Overall I am very happy having now used it for a few weeks. I bought a 32" LG to go along with it and now I get the best of portrait and landscape. A few more thoughts below. -The mount is such that it cannot be easily mounted through a desk grommet or hole and if you do it will leave a slight gap where the mount passes though desk. My desk faces our entry vs a wall so this will not be a problem for most. -Screen offers a a ton of vertical real estate but does take some adjusting (especially for your neck). I wanted to send it back when I first got it, but I have gotten used to it and now love it. -I had two 27" LG monitors previously and own two Gram Laptops, generally I am fan of their quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Productivity Enhancer! I'm currently using two LG DualUps in a side-by-side configuration and let me just say these monitors have turned me into a productivity monster! I went from a Dell Ultrawide to the dual LG DualUp set-up and I am NEVER looking back. Having four windows across two DualUps is fantastic and makes getting work done so much easier! Oh, and writing/reading code within a window scaling the entire vertical length of the monitor is a joy! This is the monitor for you if you want to get things done!

Can this monitor display from Windows as a single monitor (rather than stacked duel screens)? (I'm hoping to replace a portrait monitor, I like this wider aspect ratio better, and would use it to review/edit documents.)

Asked by: Anonymous
The LG 28-inch 16:18 DualUp Monitor with Ergo Stand and USB Type-C™, Model # 28MQ780-B can display a single window. The monitor supports PBP (Picture-by-Picture) which is a function that splits the screen in two so you can view one external input source in the top half of the screen simultaneously with another external video input in the bottom half o the screen. You can assign one half of the screen as the main screen and assign the other as the sub-screen and toggle between the main screen and sub-screen in PBP mode. You can also toggle between the audio of the main screen and sub screen in PBP mode. You can also select the monitor to just display one input on the screen...^Ivan

how to auto rotate 28mq780-b

Asked by: VEDANT
The LG 28-inch 16:18 DualUp Monitor with Ergo Stand and USB Type-C™, Model # 28MQ780-B does not support auto rotation. You will need to change the orientation of the screen from the display settings on the PC/Laptop that is connected to the monitor if the graphics card in either supports that feature or if your OS supports it...^Ivan

My desk is 6.5 inches deep. Will the clamp be able to extend that deep?

Asked by: Taikun
The table that the C-Clamp for the Ergo Stand for the LG 28-inch 16:18 DualUp Monitor with Ergo Stand and USB Type-C™, Model # 28MQ780-B can be fixed on should be less than 75mm(2.9 inches) thick, and for tables with a protrusion, if the protrusion is located more than 95 mm(3.7 inches) away from the edge of the table, install the monitor only when a flat protrusion is located between 10mm (0.3 inches) to 75mm (2.9 inches) from the edge of the table...^Ivan

If my PC/graphics card has two display ports, can I buy two of these monitors and connect both of them to my computer resulting in 4 screens? I am not daisy chaining them together, but a physical input connection for each.

Asked by: FredInDenver
If your graphics card has two DisplayPort outputs then you will be able to connect it to two of the LG 28-inch 16:18 DualUp Monitor with Ergo Stand and USB Type-C™, Model # 28MQ780-B monitors. The monitor does not support daisy chaining so the only way to connect two of the monitors to your PC is if it has two DisplayPort outputs if you are not using adapters...^Ivan

Where would you suggest a webcam be mounted when using this monitor?  It seems a bit too high on top. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Baysiderbkk
Where you can mount your webcam on the LG 28-inch 16:18 DualUp Monitor with Ergo Stand and USB Type-C™, Model # 28MQ780-B is at your discretion and will depend on if your webcam can be mounted other than at the top of a monitor as is the standard procedure. If you feel that mounting the webcam on the top of this monitor seems a bit too high, your only other options are to mount it on the sides of the monitor if your webcam can be mounted that way so that is entirely at your discretion...^Ivan
