Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for home office! I bought this monitor recently as I've been partially working from home and a 13-inch laptop screen wasn't cutting it for me. It's been a month already since I have the screen and it is everything I needed and more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Size and Sturdy/Solid!!! bought this a couple of months ago to have a larger monitor for my at-home work setup. Wish I had bought it sooner as it has allowed for multiple excel docs fully visible on one screen, and I am fully comfortable moving it up and down on my standing desk.

can I display 2 differnt computers on this monitor with KVM switch

Asked by: mm23
PBP (Picture-by-Picture) is a function on a monitor that splits the screen in two (if it is 2PBP or in four if it is 4PBP) and allows you to view two external input sources simultaneously on the monitor. You wouldn't need a KVM switch for PBP, just simply plug the computers into any of the ports on a monitor that supports this function and select the ports that you want to display on the monitor. The LG 29'' Class 21:9 UltraWide FHD IPS Monitor with HDR10 (29'' Diagonal), Model # 29WL500-B does not support this feature. You can download and install LG's On-Screen Control (OSC) software from the monitor's support page on our site which will give you four different PIP (PIcture-in-Picture) options. PIP is a function that allows you to view two external input sources simultaneously on the monitor with one source being displayed in the main window on the screen and the other input source being displayed in an inset window on the main window on the screen...^IFV

Suddenly the screen was split into two (have not installed the OnScreen Control). It came back after resetting it but next time, the screen split again and I cannot remove the split even after resetting to factory settings and turning it off. Please help.

What operating system are you using? If you did not download and install LG's OnScreen Control (OSC) software for the 29'' Class 21:9 UltraWide FHD IPS Monitor with HDR10 (29'' Diagonal), Model # 29WL500-B, then the Screen Split that is coming on the monitor is the operating system's Screen Split. Both Windows and MacOS have their own screen split feature. The most fundamental way to use split-screen in Windows 10 is to drag an open window to the left or right side of the screen. This will automatically 'snap' that window to take up exactly half of the screen...^IFV

I am trying to use a USB C port to connect monitor, I have a HDMI to USB C cable but my computer does not recognize monitor. Is their a special setup I need to do or driver I need to install?

Asked by: Mike0971
You will need to check the specifications for the USB-C to HDMI cable that you are using to connect to the HDMI ports on the LG 29'' Class 21:9 UltraWide FHD IPS Monitor with HDR10 (29'' Diagonal), Model # 29WL500-B, and check to make sure that your USB-C port supports the Alt modes that can then, with the correct USB-C cable, transfer those signals in addition to regular USB data...^IFV

My MacBook Air with M1 chip will not recognize the display at the 2560x1080 resolution.  What do I need to do to make that work?

Asked by: whale123
The graphics card in your MacBook Air with the M1 chip may not support the native resolution of 2560 x 1080 for the LG 29'' Class 21:9 UltraWide FHD IPS Monitor with HDR10 (29'' Diagonal), Model # 29WL500-B. If the 2560 x 1080 resolution is not available when you select the scaled option, you can try to perform the NVRAM reset. MacBook Air models introduced in 2018 or later natively support 2560 x 1600. If you need assistance with this, please contact Apple for advice. Apple has acknowledged that when an ultrawide or super-ultrawide external display is connected to a Mac with the M1 chip, some resolutions supported by the display may not be available currently...^IFV

I am wondering why the screen displays an error message saying that the 75Mhz refresh rate is not supported. I'm using the OEM HDMI cable and a video cart that supports it.
