What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed on me after 5 year For a high-end monitor I would've expected a longer life. I get flickering horizontal bars with burned in screen and washed out edges now.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from display broken after 3 years I was happy with the display for about 2 years, then it started to show issues. First random blackouts for one our two seconds, then it took 10 min for the display to sync to the computer signal after switching on (in cloder temperature conditions). And now, it does not show and image at all.. It still gets power, but the screen shows horizontal lines and the on0screen menu does not come up. Really bad for an expensive professional monitor. I never experience a monitor fail like this after only 3 years. Is this built in obsolescence? To me it seems so.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from End Just after warranty expired, the screen started to get green corners and edges burn in. It's getting worse every day. Quick web research to find out, ii's a common issue on this model screen and I am lucky to have enjoy it for 2 years long... Great image but only for the time of your warranty !!! incredible

Will any LG TV remote controls work with this monitor?  Would love to adjust the volume up or down.

Asked by: Michael H7777
The LG 32'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with HDR10 (31.5'' Diagonal), Model # 32UD99-W does not have a remote sensor. It will not work with any LG TV remote or any other remote. You can control the volume manually using the joystick button on the monitor...^Ivan

Can I use the split screen function with the 4 different inputs (USB-C, DisplayPort and 2x HDMI) to display 4 separate video feeds at the same time?

Asked by: jak3676
Hi jak3676. That is not how Screen Split works. Screen Split allows you to divide the screen for the LG 32'' Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with HDR10 (31.5'' Diagonal), Model # 32UD99-W. You would need to download and install LG's OnScreen Control (OSC) software which will give you options for a Full screen, 3 x 2-Screen Split options, 5 x 3-Screen Split options, and 1 x 4-Screen Split option and 4 x PIP (Picture-in-Picture) options. The function that you are describing that splits the screen in two or four so you can view four different input sources simultaneously on the screen is PBP (Picture-by-Picture) either 2PBP or 4PBP. This monitor does not support PBP...^IFV

I have owned this monitor since it was first released and love it. My one gripe is that volume control via my MacBook is not supported with the current firmware. Is there a plan to add this much needed feature?

The only thing I can't get right is when using bootcamp on my Macbook pro 2017 with Win10, play Battlefield 1 using HDR - its enabled in the game but the monitor does not detect it. I'm using a USB-C connection between my monitor and the laptop.

Recommendation - Allow volume control inputs from Macbook to set the volume on in-monitor speakers (32UD99-W) vs. having to use the joystick. Since the 5ks have no joystick it is allowed there, could this be patched to these monitors as well? Thanks!

Asked by: Alulim
Hi Alulim. Thank you for your suggestion. Regrettably, allowing the volume control inputs from Macbook pro to set the volume for the built-in speakers on the LG 32" Class 4K UHD IPS LED Monitor with HDR10 (31.5" Diagonal), Model # 32UD99-W would require a hardware update and they cannot be patched to this monitor as it has already been released...^IFV
