What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great monitor, terrible service I really, really want to stress that this monitor is fantastic in *just about* every way. I use it 8 hours a day, five days a week for work, and it has changed my workflow, definitely for the better. It sounds odd, but not thinking about which "screen" a certain piece of information might be on sped me up, having come from using two 27-inch monitors. What really let me down was LGs commitment to customer service. I order it in April of 2019, immediately after it came out, and it worked flawlessly for about 9 months. However, it then started experiencing intermittent power failure, where my monitor would sporadically turn on and off - and sometimes refuse to turn on altogether. That was a huge issue, as it's my only monitor for work. LG Support was reasonable enough to hook me up with an authorized LG repair shop, as they had no factory repair centers near me. They concluded that there was an issue with the power supply, and opted to replace the board for me - under warranty - for no cost. That's the end of it, right? Everything was working correctly until I noticed a couple of days ago that my monitor is having trouble recognizing/waking up when prompted with an active display port (DP) signal. I used the LG provided 5K DP cable, and another high-quality cable, but neither can reliably wake the display to the correct input, requiring me to manually select the DP version. Suffice it to say, it's been a somewhat frustrating ownership experience. It's really, really tough for me to recommend this product based on my personal experience. I want to love this monitor - but I can't do much more than like it if LG isn't going to stand behind their products.

With constant surround he adjust very fast brightness of monitor, doing that a few times from high to low and low to high in short period of time, to repeat all of that sequences after a few moemnts later. It's iritating wathing that

I would really like 2 of these. I have been poking around for stands and have not found anything that would support this monitor, especially in a dual set up. Can you tell us what stand was used for the dual stacked monitor set up in some of your advert

The supplied cables are too short for my setup and the documentation says to only use the supplied cables. If third party cables are connected to the monitor could the monitor be damaged?

Asked by: bikerpilot
Unfortunately we cannot support the use of 3rd party cables as we cannot guarantee their compatibility or performance. Any issues caused by 3rd party cables would not be covered by our warranty.

The Monitor works great but the USB-C cable is too short! I tried to call LG to get a 6' long one. The parts guys are not helpful and say I have to find one on e-bay or Walmart! No other cable works, including the belkin 5K Thunderbolt cable Apple sells.

Asked by: K M M
Major design flaw. My machine is basically within kicking range thanks to this. Not cool LG. I actually just use the HDMI and not display port which negates the 5k completely. I overpaid for this as a result. Very sad.
