What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Don't buy one Our second LG only because it's a size nobody else makes. Had problems with ice maker after a year and now after 4 years it just quit. Be cheaper to put in new cabinets so we can get a different brand.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from CONDENSER COIL I was just informed by customer service that the condenser coil should be cleaned twice a year and this has to be done by a licensed professional. This is absolutely ridiculous. Why should I pay a "licensed professional" outrageous fees to clean then condenser coils on my refrigerator?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A True Living nightmare! I love the large capacity. It runs quietly BUT it continues to break down in less than 2 years of operation. So when you fill up this LARGE CAPACITY refrigerator and it breaks down, then you lose HUNDREDS of dollars in food. The ice-maker had broken in the first 3 months of plugging in this refrigerator in. I am very sorry I purchased this refrigerator for nearly $2,000. I have just put in a 3rd order for repair and lost a completely large capacity's size food again!!!

Is the finish for this fridge fingerprint resistant? The specs say coated metal finish, and I’m not sure what that means. Does it look reasonably like stainless steel?

Asked by: pcbayou
Hello, this unit, LFC28768ST, is not fingerprint resistant. ^AC

The freezer drawer has a large circle of condensation on the outside. Is this normal? We exchanged our first new lg for another new one this week due to condensation and now our new one is doing the same thing.

We have developed a troubleshooting article in our help library regarding this. You can find the article here: http://www.lg.com/us/support/product-help/CT10000021-1339010078361-condensation-moisture-water-droplets-between-or-around-doors ^CP

What is the procedure to turn on this new refrigerator

Asked by: Stain
There really isn't any procedure to turning the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 28 cu. ft. Ultra Capacity 3-Door French Door Refrigerator w/Smart Cooling®, Model # LFC28768ST other than plugging it in. The refrigerator has a factory installed ice maker and before you turn it on, if you do not have the water line connected, you need to make sure that the power switch on the refrigerator is turned to O (off). Keeping the power switch in the I (on) position before the water line is connected can damage the icemaker. A newly-installed refrigerator may take 12 to 24 hours to begin making ice cubes. Initially set the refrigerator control at 37°F (3°C) and the freezer control at 0°F (-18°C). Leave it at these settings for 24 hours (one day) to stabilize. Then adjust the compartment temperature as desired. Refrigerator Temp Control ranges from 33°F to 46°F (0°C to 8°C) and the Freezer Temp Control ranges from -6°F to 8°F (-21°C to -13°C). When the setting is at a lower number, the freezer compartment becomes colder. The refrigerator compartment becomes warmer because less cold air flows into the refrigerator...^IFV

Ok so I just bought this fridge from someone who has only had it for under two years and It is building water under the freezer drawer and freezing then leaving puddles of water till I take the drawer out and clean the ice outwhat could be causing this?

Asked by: Christine crash
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. Such water buildup could be caused either by a leaking water line or an air leak around the door gasket.
