What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good features but poor quality I bought it and exactly at 12 months like a week after the warranty expired the subwoofer stopped connecting and the whole thing just ended up being a mess

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and looks I bought my Sny6 a couple weeks ago great product at a great price

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Okay for a while I bought this product 1 year and 3 months ago. After moving the subwoofer and plugging it in, I noticed that it was not working. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the light on the back of the subwoofer was not on. There is a power plug and 1 button on this device, and it stopped working after 1 year and 3 months. Manufacturers warranty only covers 1 year, and I was told that I will have to pay for the repairs. I will not be repairing this device and will never buy another LG sound bar

I recent got a LG TV and then pick up the sound bar. However the LG TV does not have an optic port to plug the sound bar into. How can I get the sound bar to work?

Asked by: Tobi167575
Depending on the TV, you can connect the HDMI cable to an eARC input. ^Daphane

I can’t seem to get the sound-bar to power on or off with my Samsung TV and fire stick remote.  When I turn everything on I have to Re sync it every time.  Is there a way to do that?   My other 2 TVs w different brand sound-bars do it.  I’m using HDMI cab

Asked by: Gatyk
How do you have the LG SN6Y 3.1 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with DTS Virtual:X connected to your TV and to your fire stick. Check to make sure HDMI -CEC on those devices is turned on. HDMI -CEC is packaged under different names by different manufacturers so check your owner's manuals to see what name it is packaged under for your devices. On LG TVs, HDMI-CEC is packaged as Simplink. Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) is an HDMI feature designed to allow the user to command and control the CEC-enabled devices, that are connected through HDMI by using only one of their remote controls. * Trade names for CEC are SimpLink (LG) , Anynet+ (Samsung), BRAVIA Sync (Sony), EasyLink (Philips), etc....^Ivan

Can I listen to music using Alexa voice control and Amazon Prime music without having the TV on?

Asked by: Paulski
The LG SN6Y 3.1 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with DTS Virtual:X is not compatible with Amazon Alexa devices, but you don't have to be connected to a TV to listen to Amazon Prime Music. The Soundbar has to be connected to any device that can stream Amazon Prime Music. You can pair the Soundbar with other Bluetooth-enabled devices to stream Amazon Prime Music to the Soundbar if you have the Amazon Music app installed on those devices. Amazon Music is a streaming service included with your Prime membership at no extra charge. The Amazon Music mobile app was previously known as Amazon MP3 on Android devices, while iOS users knew it as Amazon Cloud Player. If you already have either of these apps installed, hit your app store and grab the update...^IFV

Hi,  Thank you for answering the "delay" question.  I have a Samsung TV and the LG sound bar is connected via an HDMI cable.  I could not find an audio synch option on the TV.  I still have the delay, do you have any other recommendations?

Asked by: WHCAAB
As we previously explained, if your TV has an HDMI ARC port, you can connect that to the HDMI ARC port on the Soundbar (labeled as (TV ARC)/HDMI Out. There is no audio delay through HDMI ARC. Lip-sync functionality was introduced in HDMI 1.3 to ensure that audio stays perfectly matched to video. YOu did not specify if the HDMI on your TV is an HDMI ARC port or not. It will be labeled as HDMI ARC if you TV has an HDMI ARC port. However, if your TV does not have an Audio Sync feature or a built-in "audio delay" or "lip-sync" setting that you can use to minimize the delay, then there is not much you can do about the delay. There are so many different audio formats and your TV has to do a lot to unpack it all. Specifically, when you watch a Blu-ray or stream a movie on Netflix, that audio is encoded in a certain format—like DTS or Dolby Digital. When that signal is sent to your TV or soundbar, the device has to decode the audio in order to play it over your speakers, and that process takes time. We’re talking milliseconds, usually, but time nonetheless—and higher bitrate formats (like multi-channel Dolby Atmos) might take longer than a low-bitrate stereo track, leading to a more noticeable delay. If you’re playing that audio on your TV’s speakers, your TV is doing all the unpacking, so it can hold off on sending both the video and audio until the process has finished. But when you introduce another product, like a soundbar, your TV might decode the video while your soundbar decodes the audio. If the TV doesn’t know exactly how long your soundbar will take, it may send the video before the soundbar has finished, leading to a disastrous mismatch of the mouths on screen. Couple that with any other processing you’re doing—like motion smoothing on your TV, or “virtual surround”-type features on the soundbar—and you’re basically guaranteed out-of-sync dialogue. You can try to disable any video processing on your TV which might help. Refer to your owner's manual or contact the TV's manufacturer for assistance with that...^IFV
