Rated 1 out of 5 by from Subwoofer won't connect After 30 months sub woofer won't connect. Product support has been unresponsive. There are no local authorized repair shops. LG won't give me a parts list so I can't replace the circuit boards myself. Purchased with 77" OLED TV. Very disappointed. Sorry I recommended the same one to a friend who has same issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped Working After 1 Year We originally lived this SoundBar and Subwoofer combo; however, it stopped working after a year. I tried to seek help and was told there is nothing the my can do since it has been a year. After mor research this is clearly a bug with the PCB board and LG really should fix this for customers at no charge. Very disappointed as we spent a lot of money on this and chose LG thinking we were in good hands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy LG SN9YG with SPN8-W Subwoofer stopped working after 1 yr!!!!!!!!! After researching Mega Reviews and Complaints this is a HUGE ISSUE related to firmware and LG is Not doing anything about it. This should be a Class Action Suit. Don't Waste Your Money on this. Pay attention to reviews over 1 year old.

Why is google assistant not working any longer?

Hi, George Garber! Thanks for the question! It is still working. Try to double check your connection. The Google Assistant only responds to voice commands when you are using Wi-Fi or BT (Bluetooth) as the input. The Google Assistant may be slow to recognize or act depending on the Wi-Fi connection status or Google server status. Is it possible to use the subwoofer on its side inside a small open cupboard? Would this effect the sound performance and more importantly damage the Subwoofer over time?

The Subwoofer for the LG SN9YG 5.1.2 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos® and Google Assistant Built-In or for any Soundbar is Omnidirectional so it does not matter if you stand it upright or place it on its side. It will not be damaged over time by placing it on its side...^Ivan

Just to verify, the soundbar is bluetooth capable & does not need to be physically plugged in to the TV in order to work?

As a unit that supports Bluetooth, it means that the LG SN9YG 5.1.2 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos® and Google Assistant Built-In can be paired with a TV that also supports Bluetooth so you can stream audio wirelessly from your Bluetooth enabled TV to the Soundbar...^IFV

I am considering the SN9YG soundbar to pair with my existing C9 65 inch TV. Will this soundbar sit comfortably in front of the TV on the tabletop. Will the height have sufficient clearance so that the image is not blocked by the soundbar?

The LG C9 65 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # OLED65C9PUA has a spacing of 1.2" between the bottom of its panel and the surface it is installed on. I'm trying to confirm the difference between the SN9YG and the SN8YG. Does the SN9YG actually come with 2 remote surround speakers? (not shown in any of the pictures) or are these built into the bar?

No. You have to purchase them separate. Only the SN11YG includes rear surround speakers.
