LG.com MyLG Ownership Program 

Terms and Conditions 

The below LG.com MyLG Ownership Program Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), together with the LG Terms of Use located at https://www.lg.com/us/legal (“LG Terms,” collectively with the Terms, the “Agreement”), constitute a binding agreement between you and LG Electronics USA, Inc., that governs your participation in the LG.com paid subscription MyLG Ownership Program (the “Program”).  

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THE AGREEMENT, YOU MAY NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE PROGRAM. 

These Terms are “Supplemental Terms” as defined in the LG Terms and are incorporated into the LG Terms by reference. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and the LG Terms, the provisions of these Terms shall govern and prevail.  

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM, YOU AND LG AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES THAT ARISE BETWEEN US, INCLUDING ANY DISPUTES RELATED TO THE PROGRAM AND ANY DISPUTES THAT AROSE OR WERE ASSERTED PRIOR TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THESE TERMS, THROUGH BINDING AND FINAL ARBITRATION, PURSUANT TO THE ARBITRATION AGREEMENT CONTAINED IN SECTION 19 OF THE LG TERMS. UNLESS YOU OPT OUT OF THE ARBITRATION AGREEMENT: (1) YOU MAY NOT BE A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS ACTION OR PROCEEDING AND (2) YOU ARE WAIVING YOUR RIGHT TO PURSUE DISPUTES OR CLAIMS AND SEEK RELIEF IN A COURT OF LAW AND TO HAVE A JURY TRIAL.

 

THE MYLG OWNERSHIP PROGRAM IS SUBJECT TO A PAID SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT THAT WILL AUTOMATICALLY RENEW ON A YEAR-TO-YEAR BASIS. SEE SECTION 6 FOR DETAILS. YOU MAY CANCEL THIS SUBSCRIPTION AGREEMENT FOR A FULL REFUND WITHIN 30 DAYS OF PURCHASE PROVIDED YOU HAVE NOT MADE USE OF PROGRAM BENEFITS. SEE SECTIONS 6-7 FOR DETAILS.   

 

  • 1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW.  The MyLG Ownership Program (the “Program”) is a multi-tiered paid subscription program that enhances your basic MyLG Account1. MyLG Account holders (“Participants”) can enroll in a paid subscription to obtain certain benefits such as discounts, MyLG Rewards Points, free installation, and other services and receive exclusive savings and benefits (collectively “Benefits”), corresponding to their subscription tier (“Program Membership”). There are two Program Membership tiers that are add-ons to the basic MyLG Account: Pro, and Pro Care2,3. 
  • 2. ELIGIBILITY. To participate in the Program, you must be a MyLG Account holder (see Section 3). You also represent that you are (i) at least eighteen (18) years old and (ii) not a person barred from participating in the Program under the laws of the United States, your place of residence or any other applicable jurisdiction. Benefits that include the delivery of products and provision of services will be limited to shipping addresses located in the 50 United States and District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico and other territories).
  • 3. LG ACCOUNT REGISTRATION. To participate in the Program, you must register and maintain a free MyLG Account at https://www.lg.com.  When you register for a MyLG Account, you agree to (i) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself (the “Registration Data”); and (ii) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your MyLG Account.  If you provide any Registration Data that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or LG has reasonable grounds to suspect that any Registration Data you provide is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, LG has the right to suspend or terminate your Account and cancel or reclaim any accrued Benefits. You agree not to create a MyLG Account using a false identity or information. You agree not to create a MyLG Account or participate in the Program if you have been previously removed or banned by LG. 
  • 4. PROGRAM ENROLLMENT. Participants can enroll in the Program on https://www.lg.com/us/mylg-ownership-program and on select LG.com product detail pages. There is a limit of one Program Membership per MyLG Account, regardless of whether more than one person uses the same e-mail address. The person who is the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address indicated in the MyLG Account will be deemed the Participant.

  • 5. PROGRAM BENEFITS. Upon payment of the applicable fee ($69.99 in the case of MyLG Pro, $169.99 in the case of MyLG Pro Care) (“Program Fee”), you will immediately be enrolled in the Program and we will provide the Benefits to the person identified as the Participant in the Program beginning with the date of your purchase of a Program Membership. Any Benefits that are to be provided at or delivered to the home will only be available at the primary home address associated with the applicable Program Membership and must be located in the fifty states of the United States or District of Columbia. Benefits cannot be transferred to any other person or MyLG Account. Program Membership and Benefit availability is limited to designated sales channels and will not be available where prohibited by law. Program Membership is not currently being offered, and will not be valid, to persons residing outside of the fifty states of the United States and the District of Columbia (e.g., it is not available in Puerto Rico or for purchase by Puerto Rico residents). 

 

All Program Participants are entitled to the following Benefits during the Term:

  • • VIP MyLG Ownership Help Line. A dedicated support line where you will receive advice, customer service, and coordination via phone or email. The support line will be staffed with a team of customer support representatives designated for VIP order and post-purchase support. (You will find the dedicated number and email address in your MyLG Account.)
  • • 2-year manufacturer’s limited warranty on eligible products.  (LG.com standard purchases have a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.) Products must be purchased on LG.com during a Program Membership term. Products purchased prior to your Program Membership Date (defined in Section 6) or at any time in which an Program Membership was not active are not eligible for this Benefit. The 2-year manufacturer's limited warranty offer is non-transferable and extends only to the Participant. Applicable products must be registered in the name of the Participant enrolled in the Program. The 2-year warranty cannot be stacked with any promotional warranty.  If you receive an extended manufacturer’s limited warranty outside of a standard promotional offering, the longer manufacturer’s limited warranty term will apply and any others will be void. While your Program Membership is active, if you purchase a customer-paid service contract (e.g., a multi-year, one-time-pay plan) on a product with the 2-year manufacturer’s limited warranty, that customer-paid service contract will commence after the expiration of the 2-year manufacturer’s limited warranty. A 2-year manufacturer’s limited warranty is available at no cost to MyLG Account holders who do not enroll in the Program if they download the LG ThinQ mobile app and register their product through the app.

  • • Complimentary accessory subscription for one eligible appliance per year. You can choose one subscription accessory and a shipping schedule when you purchase a Program Membership. Delivery will be based on the chart below. You must choose one of the product categories below, and you cannot modify the chosen accessories set. Accessories will be sent only during the term of your Program Membership. If you cancel your Program Membership, the Benefit is no longer available after the Term ends. Only one product category is available to receive the accessories. If you purchase multiple eligible products at one time, you must choose one product category. If you purchase the eligible product again, you will not get any other accessories.

  • • In-home appliance inspection and deep cleaning service (1x per year) (Pro Care Program Memberships only). LG employee technicians will make an in-home visit to assess product performance and inspect and deep clean the appliance. The in-home visit can be scheduled when you enroll or at any other time within the first eleven (11) months of the Term and must take place during the twelve (12) month Program Membership Term. Scheduling requests submitted with less than one (1) month remaining in the Term may not be accommodated based on availability. You must choose the eligible Product for this Benefit at time of Program Membership purchase. Eligible Products are listed below. LG products within the list below purchased within the one-year period prior to enrolling in ‘Pro Care’ are also eligible. If you purchase the product and ‘Pro Care’ enrollment separately, the serial number will be used to determine age of the product for eligibility purposes. at time of ‘Pro Care’ enrollment. For avoidance of doubt, this is not a repair service. Any necessary repairs would have to be separately arranged. To the extent a repair is not covered under the limited manufacturer’s warranty or LG Premium Care, if applicable, you can apply the discounted repair service Benefit described below.

  • • 30% discount on repair service fees (Pro Care only) if a product that has received the in-home appliance inspection and deep cleaning service requires repair service.
  • 6. TERM. THE TERM OF EACH ENROLLMENT COMMENCES ON THE DATE PARTICIPANT PURCHASES AN ENROLLMENT (“ENROLLMENT DATE”) AND ENDS AT 11:59 PM OF THE DATE IMMEDATELY PRECEDING THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE ENROLLMENT DATE. THE TERM WILL RENEW ANNUALLY UNTIL CANCELLED PURSUANT TO SECTION 7.  YOU AUTHORIZE US TO CHARGE YOUR DESIGNATED PAYMENT CARD ON FILE THE PROGRAM FEE ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE ENROLLMENT DATE. YOU WILL BE PROVIDED AN INVOICE AND NOTICE OF THE RENEWAL WITH AN OPTION TO CANCEL TO YOUR LG ACCOUNT REGISTERED EMAIL THIRTY (30) DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE RENEWAL STATING THAT YOUR DESIGNATED PAYMENT CARD WILL BE CHARGED AT THE START OF THE UPCOMING RENEWAL TERM UNLESS YOU CANCEL YOUR ENROLLMENT BEFORE THAT DATE.

  • 7. CANCELLATION AND REFUND. You can cancel your Program Membership at any time online or by calling VIP MyLG Ownership Help line. You can find the number on your MyLG Ownership program page. To cancel online:
    • Within the first thirty (30) days of enrolling, sign into your MyLG Account >> click “Orders” >> select the applicable Program Membership >> click “Cancel.”
    • On or after the 31st day of enrolling, sign into you MyLG Account >> click “Subscription” >> select the applicable Program Membership >> click “Cancel.”  
  • • IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OF ENROLLING IN THE PROGRAM OR WITHIN 30 DAYS AFTER A RENEWAL YOU WILL BE ISSUED A FULL REFUND EQUAL TO THE AMOUNT PAID FOR YOUR ANNUAL PROGRAM FEE, PROVIDED: 
    • 1. NO PRODUCTS HAVE BEEN PURCHASED OR ACCEPTED POST-DELIVERY, OR
    • 2. ALL PURCHASED PRODUCT(S) HAVE BEEN RETURNED WITHIN THE APPLICABLE RETURN PERIOD ON LG.COM, OR
    • 3. ALL PURCHASED PRODUCT(S) ORDERS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED PRIOR TO SHIPMENT OF SUCH PRODUCT(S) OR PROMPTLY RETURNED AFTER RECEIPT. 
  •  If you cancel after thirty (30) days of enrollment in the Program, you are not entitled to a refund of your annual Program membership fee, but your Program membership will be cancelled and you can enjoy the Benefits until the expiration of the then-current term of the Program Membership. Certain exceptions apply to cancellations outside of the thirty (30) day window as follows, and you must contact the MyLG Ownership dedicated helplines that can be found in the MyLG dashboard.

Exceptions: You will receive a one hundred (100%) customer satisfaction refund notwithstanding expiration of the thirty (30) day period if the product purchased is ordered within 30 days following enrolling in the Program and:

  1. 1. the product(s) you ordered at time of enrolling in the Program has not been delivered within thirty (30) days following Program Membership and you would like to cancel your order of those products and the Program membership OR;
  2. 2. A product(s) shipment delay of 4+ weeks results in a delivery acceptance date and standard return period that exceeds thirty (30) days post Program Membership,
  3. 3. You receive a damaged product(s), and are not accepting a replacement.
  • For other cases that are not listed above, we will not be obligated to refund any Program Fees. In the case of cancellation by us or by you, auto-renewal will be turned off and you will have access to all Benefits for the remainder of the Term.
  • 8. PROGRAM TERMINATION OR MODIFICATION. LG reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, cancel, terminate, or suspend the Program or these Terms at any time, for any reason. Notice of changes will be provided 30 days in advance of any material change. The most recent version of these Terms will be located on the Program Website (https://www.lg.com/us/mylg-ownership-program). Your continued participation in the Program will constitute an affirmative acknowledgment of any amendment or modification to the Terms and your consent to abide and be bound by the Agreement as amended or modified. If you do not agree to any material modification, you may cancel within 30 days of receiving notice, terminating further auto-renewals, and the remainder of your Program term will be governed by the Terms in place at the time of cancellation (to the extent practicable).
  • 9. PRIVACY. Personal information collected in connection with the Program will be handled in accordance with the LG Privacy Policy located at https://privacy.us.lg.com/policies.
  • 10. TAXES. Participants are responsible for the payment of all taxes which may result from participation in the Program.
  • 11. WARRANTY AND RELEASE.
  • By participating in the Program, Participants warrant and represent that all information they provide to LG or any agent acting on LG’s behalf is true and accurate, and that no information or documentation submitted by Participant to LG is false, fraudulent, inaccurate, forged, counterfeit or otherwise in violation of this Agreement or any law.
  • By participating in the Program, Participants agree to release and hold harmless LG, authorized LG distributors and brokers, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against all liability, loss, or damages arising out of or in connection with the participation in the Program and the awarding and use of any Rewards. LG assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure; theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to the Program site or Accounts.
  • 12. DISCLAIMER. THE PROGRAM, INCLUDING ACCOUNTS, REWARDS AND PROGRAM RELATED WEBPAGES, ARE OFFERED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. LG MAKES NO WARRANTY WITH REGARD TO THE PROGRAM, INCLUDING ACCOUNTS, REWARDS AND PROGRAM RELATED WEBPAGES; OR THAT THE PROGRAM, INCLUDING ACCOUNTS, REWARDS AND PROGRAM RELATED WEBPAGES, WILL MEET PARTICIPANTS’ REQUIREMENTS, BE ACCURATE OR ERROR FREE, OR THAT ACCESS WILL BE TIMELY OR UNINTERRUPTED.
