32LF500B was given to me without a remote. And trying an app didnt work either. I haven't been able to watch TV in so long. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Socio
The LG 720p LED TV - 32'' Class (31.5'' Diag), Model # 32LF500B is not a 'Smart TV' so it does not have internet access which is required for you to stream from apps and it does not have any built-in apps since it is not capable of streaming from apps. If you want to stream from apps, you will need to purchase a Roku, Apple TV, Google Chromecast, or Amazon Fire Stick and connect any of those devices to any of the three HDMI input ports on the TV and stream from the built-in apps on such devices. There are also Blu-ray Players that have built-in apps that are an alternative. If you just want to watch TV programming, there is an F-Type, 75-Ohm, coaxial connector in the back of the TV that is labeled 'Antenna/Cable In' that you can connect an outdoor or indoor antenna to for free Over-the-Air (OTA) HD programs transmitted by television stations or connect a cable set-top box to. If you opt for a cable set-top box, if it has an HDMI Out on it, yu can connect that to any of the three HDMI ports on the TV...^IFV

I have an analog(tube) tv and I'm not savvy about digital tv's. I want to buy an LG 32" 720P tv. Can I easily hook up my dvd player to it ? Thanx ! CH

Asked by: chuckster1
Hello chuckster1. Regrettably, the LG 720p LED TV - 32" Class (31.5" Diag), Model # 32LF500B is a discontinued product and is no longer available for sale. However, if you are able to find a retailer that you can still purchase it from, it has a Component Video In (Red/Green/Blue ports) and a Composite In (Red/White/Yellow ports). Depending on what type of DVD Player you have and what its connections are, you should be able to connect to either the Component In or to the Composite IN. If your DVD PLayer is a Progressive Scan DVD Player, it should have an HDMI Out that you can connect any of the HDMI ports on the TV. Check to see what ports you have on your DVD Player. Your owner's manual should have a section that has instructions on how to connect it to a TV that you might want to review or you can contact your DVD Player's manufacturer for advice...^IFV

Does this tv have a built-in digital converter?

Asked by: Chaaaales
The LG 720p LED TV - 32" Class (31.5" Diag), Model # 32LF500B is a digital TV that has a native resolution of 1366 x 768 and like any other digital TV, it will always play any video signal it is presented with at its native resolution or as close to that resolution as it can get the signal if the signal that it is presented with has a lower resolution than the TV's native resolution. Digital TVs have a built-in upscaler that upconverts lower-resolution TVs to or as close to their native resolutions as they can get the signal depending on how much data the incoming signal has that the TV can work with...^IFV
