Rated 1 out of 5 by from legs don't fit the four screws to connect the legs/stand don't fit and LG hasn't given any help, they say buy some more and don't know if they would fit. very poor poor service which is a clear manufacturer error for not checking this before putting it on yhe market. No help here with LG, not recommended not checking everything FIRST !

Sound could be way better, but -let's face it- they make it so you NEED to buy a soundbar or a home theater system...otherwise you're sitting there lipreading. Lots of apps...many of them discontinued...not all at once...just like Survivor...they get voted off the island and you get a notification (with a LOT of verbiage) explaining why it's going and when it's going and "so sorry but that's the breaks!" And then, of course, joy of joys...all of a sudden it won't connect to the Wi-Fi...not the regular G and not the 5G...we spend more time wining and dining this thing so it will hook up to the internet than we spent wooing each other back in the day... This is the thing though...NOT BUYING ANOTHER TV. This model is discontinued, and we are slowly watching this thing leave us bit by bit...

I can't get a full-screen picture with HD broadcasts, therefore, cannot see full text such as subtitles. I have tried all aspect ratio setings and none give me a full image. Is there a way to make HD fit the screen, or can I turn off HD?

Is there a specific LG sound bar or external speaker system that was designed to go with this TV. I have an older LG soundbar (LAP347c) that requires the use of a separate remote. I’d like to control the TV and soundbar with the same remote.

Hi Jwhacks. There wasn't a specific LG SoundBar or external speaker that was designed to go with the LG 1080p Smart LED TV - 50" Class (49.5" Diag), Model # 50LF6090. This TV has an Optical Digital Audio Output that can be connected to any of our SoundBars that have an Optical Digital Audio Input or external speaker systems that feature that port. Your SoundBar, the LG Sound Sync feature on your LAP347C will allow you to control the volume (Up/Down) and mute functions on a TV that supports the LG Sound Sync feature. Regrettably, the 50LF6090 does not support this feature. You may want to look into a Universal Control that you can use. There are a variety of universal remotes available that will control several devices and specific functions on the devices. The packaging for these remotes will indicate which brand and which devices they can be programmed to control and what functions they control. You will find then online or at Consumer Electronic Retail Stores like Best Buy, Radio Shack etc., ...^IFV

Does the 50LF6090-UB have an HDMI port that supports HDCP 2.2? I am hooking up a Roku Ultra.

Hi Gary6708. The 2015 LG 1080p Smart LED TV - 50" Class (49.5" Diag), Model # 50LF6090 is a 1080p TV that has HDMI 1.4 ports and does not require HDCP 2.2 compliance. HDCP 2.2 is essentially about UltraHD 4K copy protection. Your current devices will work fine with new HDCP 2.2 devices, presuming you're not trying to send content with 2.2. Devices like a Blu-ray player will send 1080p to a 2.2-enabled receiver, or to a 4K TV, with no issues...^IFV

I want to connect my TV-Dex to the tv so that it can be played thru my hearing aids. It works on all of my other TVs when plugged into the audio out or optical outlet. Is this because my LG is too old or is there some sort of adapter?

If connecting to the TV via the optical outlet, the connection should still work. It is suggested to ensure the audio out setting has been changed to the optical port on the unit. If this is not the case, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for further assistance.

How can I or how much is it for a replacement screen for this exact tv

The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 1080p Smart LED TV - 50" Class (49.5" Diag), Model # 50LF6090 would need to be inspected by an LG Authorized Repair Service Center or an LG Authorized Service Technician who will then give an estimate for the cost of replacing the screen on the TV. Repair Service is only available for products in the country in which the products are purchased so for service in Antigua and Barbuda, the closest LG Support Centers would be in St. Kitts, Dominica (Tel # 1-877-841-5316) , Barbados (Tel # 1-877-331-5112) , St. Vincent (Tel # 1-877-841-5310) and Grenada ( Tel # 1-877-841-5314). Not sure which one of those would be the one you would need to contact, but St. Kitts (Tel # 1-800-205-0547) appears to be the closest geographically...^IFV

Where can I purchase a longer tv cord? I believe the one it came with is only 5'.

We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this television. Unfortunately, the only power cord available for compatibility with this TV is that which originally accompanies it. Longer power cords are not available for this model.

The tv was bought as the store demo every 30 seconds all the stuff pops up on the screen how do I stop that

Press the HOME button, on your remote control, and access the SETTINGS menu. From this point, access the OPTION menu. Scroll down this list until MODE SETTING is found. Adjust this option to the HOME USE setting. This should resolve the matter.
