What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing picture and sound I have not bought a TV in 7 years and have been watching a TV that is smaller than 40 inches. Over the winter break we went to Best Buy in search of a good quality TV at a good price and found this one. When I got it home, I realized everything I've been missing. The image on the TV is gorgeous - crystal clear. The sound on the tv is so good it surprises me. Nice and light and easy to set up. My only complaint is if you leave the TV on too long without your Apple TV or Firestick on, the screen goes black and you can't tell that it's still on. There have been times that I thought I turned off the TV and didn't realize it was still on until I tried turning it back on. I would buy this again without question. I'm so happy I have it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has a good Picture. I got this TV on sale a few months ago. So far so good. It does have good picture after you get all the settings set right. The "Smart" part of the TV is obsolete. Just use a Roku of Fire TV. You'll get better picture and all your apps.

Is this LED TV edge lit, direct lit, or full array, with or without local dimming? I can't find any details in the TV specifications. Thank you.

Refresh rate is 60Hz and the specs also indicate Trumotion 120. What does this mean? For fast moving sports will there be bluring?

Asked by: RLRs
The LG UK6300BUB 4K HDR Smart LED UHD TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 50" Class (49.6" Diag), Model # 50UK6300BUB has a refresh rate of 60 Hz which is how often the TV changes the image on the screen, in other words, the number of frames that the TV can show per second. This is measured in Hertz which is a unit of frequency. Trumotion is LG's name for motion interpolation which is a feature that increases a video's frame rate, usually up to the maximum frame rate of the TV. It has the effect of making movements look smoother, clearer, and more lifelike than what you typically see from movies and TV. This feature only matters if you want to be able to make movement in videos look a bit smoother...^IFV

Hi. We bought this TV because it promised to work with Alexa. It barely works with Alexa, on a good day... Can you please improve the Alexa skill so it works? And add the ability to turn the TV on with Alexa?

Asked by: cloudberry
Unfortunately, Power ON does not work with Amazon Alexa. Only Power Off. Also, we have a lot more functions that work with Alexa compared to other manufacturers and it should improve as time goes by. ^AC

Is there a difference between these two TVs with different Model numbers? They appear to be the same, but I'm not sure.  49UJ6300 and 50UK6300BUB

Hi NancyD. The LG UK6300BUB 4K HDR Smart LED UHD TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 50" Class (49.6" Diag), Model # 50UK6300BUB is a 2018 model and the LG 4K UHD HDR Smart LED TV - 49" Class (48.5" Diag), Model # 49UJ6300 is a 2017 model. A "K" in the model number identifies the year of development as 2018 and a "J" identifies it as 2017.
