Rated 3 out of 5 by from HALF n HALF Bought this for X-mas in 2013 and work beautifully until mid-2015 when it all began. Whenever the screen goes black due to being in between scenes or the movie itself in dark, when the next scene comes on only half the screen shows a normal picture. The other half flickers and remains dark enough to see the contrast. I have to turn off the tv then back on to receive a normal picture. PAIN IN MY BUTT!

My 50la6970 went out found out that c259 on the board is what went out could you tell me what size capacitor it is so I can replace ? If capacitor is the right term what is that part and. Info ? Thanks much

Not able to connect to the network. Its not showing any list of available wifi like it was showing earlier. Please help.

We regret to read of the issues you're experiencing with your Energy Star® Qualified 50" Class Cinema 3D 1080P 120Hz LED TV with Smart TV (49.5" diagonally), Model # 50LA6970 and apologize for any inconveniences. Without more details on your router/TV environment, what type of security encryption you're using, it cannot be determined what the issue may be. You may have to change your WiFi security (in your router setting) from WPA/WPA2 to WEP, then go back to the Smart TV and reconnect to your network with your selected security key. Even though WEP is less secure, that might resolve the issue for you. Before you do that, you might also want to try to the following steps: Step 1) Go to Settings>Support >Initialization of App and select OK. This will clear the cache on the TV. Step 2) Log into your router settings using the proper IP address for your router. There's a default, just search router "your brand" default IP. Step 3) Back up your router settings. Just incase you need to restore Step 4) Reset your router to factory settings. Step 5) Go to Settings>Network>Network Connection and establish connection. Step 6) Once you get the confirmation screen, select other Network list and follow the steps to manually setup your Wi-Fi or Wired connection. If that doesn't resolve the issue, please contact our Customer Support Center at (800) 243-0000 and have the Call Representatives assist you with resolving the issue...^IFV
