What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Will not connect to Wifi This has been on and off for a year and now the past 6 months I have not been able to get the Wifi connected. No matter what "suggestions" I try, the network settings states "Wi-Fi is turned off. Turn it on to see the list of available networks..." etc. The Wifi is fine and connection works on all my devices. I've tried everything apart from removing the back panel. Such a waste of money for the most basic thing I wanted from my "smart" TV.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from WiFi Connectivity Issues I bought this about 10 months ago. The first seven months, no issues. When the tv actually worked, I loved it. During the last two months, it kept disconnecting from the WiFi for no apparent reason. Everything else in the house was working well, but I decided to upgrade my internet speed, just in case. Didn't fix anything. This week, it stopped connecting altogether. It says to turn on the WiFi. Well, how?? I've unplugged it, I've restarted my router, turned off Quick Start, I've even reset the tv to factory settings. I finally got it to connect via WPS PIN, but it lasted less than 30 minutes before acting up again. Once again, I've lost ALL connectivity. So much for a "smart" tv. It's the only thing in the house that can't seem to figure out how to connect to the WiFi.

Can I use a wired headset with this model, if not what would be headset options?

Asked by: Peddler
Regrettably, there aren't any options for using a headset with the LG Full HD 1080p Smart LED TV - 43" Class (42.5" Diag), Model # 43LJ5500. It does not have a headphone (3.5mm) jack on it nor does it support Bluetooth. One workaround would be to use the Optical Digital Audio Output in the back of the TV with a Digital/Analog Converter (D/A Converter). D/A converters have an Optical Digital Audio Input at one end and will also have an Analog Stereo RCA Audio Output (Red/White barrel ports) at the other end. You can connect one end to the TV and the other to a Transmitting/Charging tower for a pair of infrared wireless headset...^IFV

The TV legs of our TV have snapped, and we want to get new ones for this specific TV. How may I purchase those? Does LG sell them separately? The TV works fine, we just need new stands.

What is the input lag of this tv, measured in "ms" please

Asked by: TallJack
HI TallJack. Regrettably, our specifications do not list an input lag for the LG Full HD 1080p Smart LED TV - 55" Class (54.6" Diag), Model # 55LJ5500. Input Lag is not an official TV specification because it depends on two varying factors; the type of source and the settings on the TV. It will vary according to what you have connected to the TV. There are different methods that are used to measure the Input Lag and they will have varying results. One of the most widely used methods that you will find on online sites that test for input lag is the Leo Bodnar Input Lag Test method which has lists the input lag for this TV as 27.2 ms for 1080p @ 60 Hz in Game Mode...^IFV
