The sound quality is good but you need to have it turned up pretty high to hear it. My last LG TV I would play the sound between 14 and 25, this one 35 is the lowest and some digital movies I have to play oh 75 to 100. My other problem is some times the display and sound just go blank, it does not shut the TV off at least so if I am watching a movie from my hard drive it does not start over. This only lasts for 1 to 3 seconds so just a minor distraction at this time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Black screen of death and junk warrany. It seems from the moment I googled this TV all I found was the TV's from this time have faulty LED components across the board. All go black within 2-3 years. Seems like a recall should have been issued by now. I won't be buying this brand for anything in my home again. It might have been cheaper than other TV's but not worth the savings.

My LG 55LN5600-UI says it works with 100v to 240v! Does this mean i can use in the Philippines?

There are some things that you need to take note of with regards to the LG 55" Class (54.6" Diagonal) 1080p Smart LED TV, Model # 55LN5600. The TV is a dual voltage TV rated at 100 - 240 V ~ 50/60 Hz, so it will work with the 220 voltage used in the Philippines. The Philippines also use the same sockets, Type A and Type B that are used in the U.S. that the plug on the TV will fit into. This TV has three built-in tuners, an ATSC tuner, an NTSC tuner and a QAM tuner. The Philippines had been using the American NTSC standard for analog television, but their National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) announced in June 2010 that the Philippines would use the Japanese ISDB-T standard for digital television which is not compatible with the American ATSC standard used for digital television. IF the Philippines is still using the NTSC standard for analog, you might be able to get analog broadcasts, but you will not be able to get digital television broadcasts...^IFV
