What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I bought this TV in August and I don't regret having purchased it at ll.It is Marvellous.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Need to reinitiate the cablebox Each time that I turn the tv on it defaults to the tv and not HDMI-3 which is my cable box. It then takes multiple times reinitializing the HRMI connection (about 15 minutes) before it finally connects. Very frustrating. Once connected, the picture and sound is outstanding. Does anyone else have similar issues?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DIsappointed with this TV I bought this almost a year ago, and it had the problem of just all of a sudden it would reboot itself, but the bigger problem was that the sound would just stop. The only way to get the sound back was to turn it off and then back on. I put in a service request and a technician came to my house and replaced all of the circut boards in the TV. The problem was MUCH reduced, but it still has both problems. I have another LG TV (different model) and have no problems with it. Of course this is the TV that I use the most and it is very frustrating to all of sudden to lose all sound. By the way , I do NOT do Twitter or Facebook.

How far should I sit from be screen

Asked by: Dc77
For the LG 55 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV w/ AI ThinQ® (54.6'' Diag), Model # 55UM7300AUE, the guidelines from the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers recommends sitting at a distance where the screen fills up about 30° of your field of vision as a minimum for a good experience. This generally provides good guidance, but users that use their TVs mostly for watching movies might benefit from sitting a bit closer to get a more theater-like. The SMPTE "reference" position for movie theaters and the THX recommendation is about 40°. The minimum angle of vision works well for most usages though and sitting at a distance where the screen fills 30° of your horizontal field of view should be comfortable for most people. The recommendation for a 'Recommended Mixed Usage Distance (30°)' for a 55" screen is 6.8' (2.06 m) and the 'Recommended Cinema Distance (40°)' for a 55" screen is 5.5' (1.68 m)...^IFV
