What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No updates outside the model year I bought a 50 inch model in Jan. 2020 but apparently it is a 2019 model. When I wanted to update my WebOS to get a current app I found that the present WebOS 5.0 is only available on 2020 models and older models cannot be updated. From reading on the web this is POLICY for LG. Great TV with no problems. But I will never buy another if if cannot be updated past it's model year. What are they thinking?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frustrated We bought the 60UM6900PUA about 6 mo ago. We don't have cable or satellite but we use wifi and several apps. We are frustrated because we have to reconnect to wifi literally every single time we turn the TV on. Direct line in is not an option due to the location of the TV. Sometimes after connecting we still cant watch anything until the TV wakes up after at least a minute. I also agree with the review about the horrible picture when it comes to the black levels. We turn off all the lights and still cant see anything. Don't bother to watch a movie during the day. Great price and normally great products but I guess you get what you pay for.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T BUY THIS TV! Terrible black levels!!!! UGH!! First I should let you all know that I am a designer / builder and have installed dozens and dozens of TV's over the past 10 years! Both professionally and personally for myself, as well as family. But this experience has been the WORST of all. Let me explain: I bought this 65UM6900PUA LG TV 10 days ago AT Best Buy. After much research and personal experience this should have been an easy choice? LG great brand, great TV's.... Wrong. I should have looked harder, I thought I did? I believed I knew better? In the store, the picture quality looked amazing, the features were awesome, the price was great, and would look good in my project! Wrong again. LG was a brand I was very familiar with and have proudly recommended to clients in the past. The BB sales representative told me this the 2020 model, wrong again! Manufactured in 8/2019 right on sticker!!! After explaining what I do for a living and where the TV was going be to located. He told me the quality for the price was the best in the store... I looked and compared the picture to other brands side by side and was sold. Got it home, set up was OK, some are easier! The picture initially looked perfect, I was happy with my purchase, until I watched a movie and then saw the dark levels. It was terrible!!! The screen in places washes out to a light grey. It's awful!!! Look at the attached pictures.... I was excited, then dissapointed, then pretty angry... I feel like I was lied to and then sold a piece of junk. I believed in LG and their products! I have used LG alot in my projects, not so sure anymore? I buy and install TV's all the time. It's what I do! I am the person people ask about which brand to buy? That is what sold me on LG to begin with. My experience!! But this experience has left a bad taste!!! I'm just glad its me and not a customer that had this experience... This is hard to explain... The picture looks so nice until you see the darker levels and then it's just dissapointment!!! You can probably tell in pretty upset? I hope this helps some of you to check better and look harder... Even a professional gets it wrong every now and then!!!

I have 6 of these in my bar area in close proximity to each other and am looking for a good remote control solution to control them. Any suggestions

Asked by: Gringo Joe
Having three of the LG 49 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV (48.5'' Diag), Model # 49UM6900PUA TVs in close proximity means that when you operate one of them with its remote control, the other TVs will respond to the same remote. The only way to control one TV at a time would be for you to shield the infrared signal for the remote control from the other two TVs so you only operate one TV at a time. You may want to look into programmable universal remotes to see if they might provide a solution that best suits your needs...^IFV
