What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from More trouble than it's worth This thing has been trouble since I got it. The sensors don't work and it ran right off the top stair without even pausing..crashed down and now the top is broken. There's a problem with the camera. It is lousy at finding it's way back to the docking station and I have to hunt for it as least 4 days a week. Do not recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from was great when it worked The unit worked great especially on carpet.....when it worked. at less than a year old the motor died and all was covered by the warranty. a year later the battery died, would run only about 15 seconds. No longer covered by warrenty. after online chatting and a call $160 plus shipping and tax to repair. Two years old. For the price it goes for the warranty should be better. I had a lemon. it should have been replaced. Going with another brand

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best robot vacuum so far This is my 2nd robot vacuum and is the best one so far. It is very convenient and really does the job so you don't have to worry about vacuuming the house in your busy life like afterwork or weekend. It returns to the base once it's done. If it needs to be charged it comes back to the base and starts working itself again until finishing the job. It is amazing and I love it so far. It is the best robot vacuum product and I own many other LG products too. I became a fan of LG appliances.

Can I move the charging base to a new location, start the vac, and expect the vac to find the charging base at its new location?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, as long as it starts cleaning from being docked, it will return to it after it is done vacuuming.

How well does this maneuver around constantly moving dining chairs and kids toys? Our dirtiest areas are lunch table with adjacent sliding glass door. Will this reliably maneuver around constantly disco'ed chairs?

Asked by: Lombardi
Regrettably, we will need some clarification about what disco'ed chairs are. The LG CordZero™ ThinQ Robotic Vacuum - Matte Grey, Model # R975GM can cross over thresholds that are up to 0.79 inches (20 mm) high depending on the shape and material of the threshold. senses a moving object in its path, such as a person or pet, it will request that it move. Collisions can occur during cleaning when the sensor cannot detect the obstacle. You should remove cables or long strings from the floor, roll up or remove thin mats or thick area rugs. Thin mats can get stuck in the nozzle, and the robot cleaner will stop operating. The robot cleaner may be unable to climb onto area rugs with pile thicker than 0.79” (20 mm). Remove fragile objects and obstacles from the floor and foreign materials such as long strings, metal objects, liquids, pet waste, or glass from the floor. Remove or protect furniture with narrow legs. The robot cleaner may not detect narrow objects and could bump into or push them. Close the doors of any room that you do not want the robot cleaner to enter, move shoes or other clutter at least 2 inches (5 cm) away from thresholds. The robot cleaner’s cliff sensor may become confused and cause it to cross over a threshold it cannot climb back over, and close any balcony doors as the robot cleaner’s wheels may get stuck while cleaning. You can press the MODE button to select your desired mode as either Edge Mode, Zigzag Mode or Spiral Spot mode. The robot cleaner utilizes AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology in the Edge and Zigzag modes. The 3D DUAL Eye is included with the 3D camera sensor and 3D obstacle detection sensor. The robot cleaner learns where to go and identifies objects it needs to avoid. The robot cleaner detects obstacles using the 3D DUAL Eye and remembers the locations of objects in the area being cleaned. The obstacle detection sensor of the 3D DUAL Eye may not operate normally if there is a human shape or something similar within the environment. When the robot cleaner encounters an obstacle while moving forward, it will stop automatically and move backward slightly. When it encounters an obstacle while rotating, it will rotate in the opposite direction...^IFV

do the robot sweeper return on its own to charger when its done

Asked by: Deebot
You need to remove the protective film attached to the home station, the LG CordZero™ ThinQ Robotic Vacuum - Matte Grey, Model # R975GM, and the nozzle. If the protective film is not removed, the robot cleaner may have difficulty finding the home station or it may affect performance. The home station must be positioned on a hard, level floor to prevent sliding during docking, and it should be located where there are no obstacles within 5 ft (1.5 m) of either side and within 6.5 ft (2 m) of the front. Do not place the home station in a confined space, as this will make it difficult for the robot cleaner to return to the home station, and always keep the home station plugged in when in use. If the home station is not plugged in, the robot cleaner will not return to the home station to charge automatically...^IFV

We have a multilevel home with concrete floors. Does this vac have the ability to detect different levels? I've never had a robot vac before so I apologize if this is a silly question.

Asked by: bfjojo
The LG CordZero™ ThinQ Robotic Vacuum - Matte Grey, Model # R975GM can cross over thresholds that are up to 0.79 inches (20 mm) high depending on the shape and material of the threshold. Collisions can occur during cleaning when the sensor cannot detect the obstacle. Examples of obstacles that may be difficult to detect include thin chair or table legs, glossy or shiny furniture, and mirrors or glass. You will need to roll up or remove thin mats or thick area rugs. Thin mats can get stuck in the nozzle, and the robot cleaner will stop operating. The robot cleaner may be unable to climb onto area rugs with pile thicker than 0.79” (20 mm). Move shoes or other clutter at least 2 inches (5 cm) away from thresholds. The robot cleaner’s cliff sensor may become confused and cause it to cross over a threshold it cannot climb back over. The robot cleaner moves in zigzag movements around the whole house and cleans thoroughly including the edges up to the wall. You should not use the appliance around a banister, staircase, or any area where it could fall, and you should not operate the robot cleaner in narrow spaces such as closets or on elevated surfaces such as stairs or tables...^IFV
