What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My parents washer 40 years ago was better I own this washer for less than 2 years and the entire inside gasket is pitch black with mold/mildew. Nothing cleans it. I tried scrubbing it with bleach, with vinegar, running the tub wash cycle doesn't work. I called the help desk and they said you have to wipe down the machine after every use. My parents washing machine 40 years ago didn't need to do that. I purchased an LG machine for the quality and ease of use. Now I have to replace the gasket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Prefer my old washer We purchased this washer last November. I do not like this washer because it goes out of balance frequently, (top loader never did that), it smells bad sometimes so that I have to sanitize it (top loader never smelled bad ), I have to drain the water out of a little tube under the tub and clean the filter periodically (I never had to clean the filter on the top loader). It has a tub clean cycle - but I didn't have to tub clean my old washer. It does have a sanitize cycle to wash germy things that I like but the cycle is really long.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 4 years and dead It was great... while it worked. The inner tub separated from the outer tub. The cost of this repair is more than the unit. Piece of junk. 4 years almost to the day! The worst part of this stackable unit is that you can’t really mix/match other brands unless you go side by side. I’m stuck and LG won’t help. They won’t even provide a rebate or discount so I can buy a new product. I can’t bring myself to buy another one of these. Terrible all around.

How much water does my washer use on the delicates cycle?

Asked by: Rita1220
The amount used would vary depending on load size. The average cycle for this machine uses 15-20 gallons.

Is there a way to program my machine so it will not do the intermittent spraying of water into the soap despenser? With on demand hot water, the unit cycles on and off multiple times at the beginning of each cycle. Hard on the plumbing too. Thank you.

Asked by: Cansolo
We appreciate your interest on this washer. There would not be a way to stop the spraying of the water intermittently as this is normal operation.

I choose cold wash and cold rinse (the notes say all cold rinse) but every load is hot when I transfer to dryer>

Asked by: Vic 5
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this washing machine. The RINSE cycle of this machine should always be COLD water. If the cycle finishes, and the load is HOT, then it would be suggested that the water lines might be installed backward, with the HOT line connected to the COLD water valve.

How to tell if steam cycle is is actually being used? (I selected the steam cycle but I can't tell that it is actually being used)

Asked by: Arich
Due to humidity that collects on the inside of the glass door of the machine, it will not be possible to see the steam inside the drum. This is also because, as the inside temperature of the drum rises, the steam and surrounding environment inside the drum are approximately the same temperature.
