We had our new washer delivered last week, and I noticed a smell coming from the rubber gasket. It smelled like mold or mildew and it is BRAND NEW!!!! What do I do to fix this? It has been a week and the smell is still there and gets on clothes.

Can you stack a dryer and have a sidekick basin as well? If so what is the dimensions for the sidekick, washer & dryer stacked?

Asked by: YankeeRazorback
The LG SideKick™ Pedestal Washer, Model # WD100C* installs under the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Front Load Washer, Model # WM3700HVA or other compatible LG Front Load Washers much like an LG Laundry Pedestal does. The SideKick™ Pedestal Washer shares its water supply and drain with the washer and the washers have an activation switch that allows the pedestal to turn on. It cannot be installed under a dryer. You can stack the dryer on an LG Laundry Pedestal and stack a compatible LG Front Loading Washer on the SideKick™ Pedestal Washer and have the units side-by-side...^IFV

Why doesn't this model have an interior tub light, but the matching dryer does?

Asked by: billkexel
Regrettably, we are not privy to the decisions that go into the designing of products to provide an official response to why the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Front Load Washer, Model # WM3700HWA does not have an interior light. You may find tub lights in Top Loading Washers, but Front Loading Washing machines, in general, do not have tub lights and that might have a lot to do with how the water fills the tub and unlike dryers where you do not have to worry about special seals to prevent the ingress of water, that is a big concern in a front load washing machine...^IFV

We just purchased this model and was wondering why the wet detergent fill compartment must be emptied before doing another load. Its annoying to take the tray to the sink each time to empty the water.

Asked by: blingner
It only does this once in a while on mine. I just dump the water, and move on.

I bought this washer and was very dissapointed that it did not have an interior-tub light, but the matching dryer I bought does. Go figure.

What is the alergin setting used for on wm3700hva? What is the sanitary setting used for on the wm3700hva

Asked by: Tacky d an k
The Allergiene™ cycle on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Front Load Washer, Model # WM3700HVA when selected automatically incorporates steam into the cycle. The Allergiene™ cycle helps reduce dust mite populations and helps to significantly reduce allergens in bedding and clothing. Due to the higher energy and temperatures used, the Allergiene™ cycle is not recommended for wool, silk, leather, or any other delicate or temperature sensitive items. It can be used to wash cloths that accumulate dust - like pillow covers, and bed sheets - or items that deserve special care - like baby clothes and undergarments. The Sanitary cycle uses extreme temperature changes - extra hot during the wash, cold during the rinse - to clean the dirtiest clothing items in the house. It reduces 99.9% of bacteria on laundry through the high temperatures. The default wash/rinse temperature is Extra Hot/Cold with the wash temperature being approximately 147˚F. The approximate cycle time is 176 minutes, which will vary based on the soil level, load size, and selected options...^IFV

Why is Water Plus only listed in the French section of the User Manual? If this is only available in certain countries, then the website should reflect this instead of misleading customers. There doesn't appear to be a button for it either.

Asked by: jamesxa
Hello and thank you for letting us know. This model does not have an option to add water, however, the Add Garment feature automatically adds water. Just make your selections and once the unit starts, press add garment and then resume and the unit will add more water. Also, if you use the Bedding/Bulky cycle, it uses the most water of any cycle. ^AC
