What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty disappointed I loved our last LG front lod washer. When it finally died I got this washer as a replacement. The pro’s are that it has larger capacity. And the Steam Clean cycle is great. With that said this washer is MUCH more rough on clothes than the last model. The “gentle” cycle is far from gentle and has really worn down my clothes. Additionally, there is no longer a “hand wash” cycle which was one of my favorite cycles on the old model. Can LG add this or other gentle cycles to the programmable cycles ? also what happened to the water jets that was used in the last washer? I think the lack of these jets is a big reason this model is so rough on clothes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does Not Complete Cycles This is the second machine, the first being replaced by seller. The first machine would not finish any cycle using the second cold water valve showing an E1 error code. A repairman sent by LG said he could replace the valve and that they a problem. The store agreed to replace the unit as it was under 3 weeks that I had it. The second machine seemed to work but now it also will not complete a cycle on the right side of the dial showing the same code. I have to run it on a normal wash cycle using the rinse and spin option. It also is not completing a spin cycle when I washed two pillows. I had to remove the pillows, press the water out and then put them back in using the drain and spin option (which is not in the manual). It seems to work after I did this. My previous LG washer had no problem with any of these situations. I will call to see if there can be something done to fix these problems. If not, I will return it to the seller and purchase another make. Also, you have to go online to get complete (almost) instructions to supplement the manual.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My 2nd LG Front Load Washer! A leak developed in my last LG front load washer after owning it for 11 years and with nearly daily use, often washing more than one load. This was the longest a washer had lasted so went to Consumer Reports and, no surprise, the LG front load washer was top rated...So I bought this one about one month ago!

What is the alergin setting used for on wm3700hva? What is the sanitary setting used for on the wm3700hva

Asked by: Tacky d an k
The Allergiene™ cycle on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Front Load Washer, Model # WM3700HVA when selected automatically incorporates steam into the cycle. The Allergiene™ cycle helps reduce dust mite populations and helps to significantly reduce allergens in bedding and clothing. Due to the higher energy and temperatures used, the Allergiene™ cycle is not recommended for wool, silk, leather, or any other delicate or temperature sensitive items. It can be used to wash cloths that accumulate dust - like pillow covers, and bed sheets - or items that deserve special care - like baby clothes and undergarments. The Sanitary cycle uses extreme temperature changes - extra hot during the wash, cold during the rinse - to clean the dirtiest clothing items in the house. It reduces 99.9% of bacteria on laundry through the high temperatures. The default wash/rinse temperature is Extra Hot/Cold with the wash temperature being approximately 147˚F. The approximate cycle time is 176 minutes, which will vary based on the soil level, load size, and selected options...^IFV

Why is Water Plus only listed in the French section of the User Manual? If this is only available in certain countries, then the website should reflect this instead of misleading customers. There doesn't appear to be a button for it either.

Asked by: jamesxa
Hello and thank you for letting us know. This model does not have an option to add water, however, the Add Garment feature automatically adds water. Just make your selections and once the unit starts, press add garment and then resume and the unit will add more water. Also, if you use the Bedding/Bulky cycle, it uses the most water of any cycle. ^AC

Does the Bedding cycle match the Bulky/Large option on the WM3770? Or, has the bulky/large been omitted on the WM3700?

Asked by: Mikesgirl
The Bedding cycle on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Smart wi-fi Enabled Front Load Washer, Model # WM3700HVA should be used for washing clothing items such as mattress covers, outdoor clothes, plastic mats, etc., that are waterproof or water resistant and should be used with low spin for such items. It is also suitable for washing king or queen-sized comforters. Similarly, the Bulky/Large cycle in the WM3770H*A is designed for washing blankets or large bulky items like comforters and it also has a low spin option so it can be used like the Bedding cycle on the WM3700H*A...^IFV
