What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed This washer was a great disappointment. It uses a LOT of water, but as the machine is filling, the water is not reaching the entire load. Consequently, parts of the clothes sit high and dry and stay that way during a a good part of the cycle. And, once they finally get pulled into the water, other parts of the load come to the surface and then just sit ON TOP of the water instead of getting pulled under. So, at any given time, there is a lot of water in the drum, but the but the clothes are not being "swished" through it. This is not a very efficient use of water or energy, and I don't feel like the clothes are getting clean by spending so much time out of the water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still evaluating rinse cycle. Because I can see what is happening I have concerned about appropriate rinse. I used normal cycle for first few washes and after watching the rinse I was I did not believe cloths could possibly be rinsed. I have done sheets twice using cold wash option and felt that the rinse cycle was much better. The first time I did towels I did normal cycle but this time did cold wash with one tide he pod. I was surprised at th amazing amount of soap during the wash cycle so watched the rinse cycle. I felt that there was a or of soap during the rinse so then did an additional rinse and spin. I think the amount of soap must have been because of soap left from the previous normal cycle wash. I have read a lot of reviews of this washer and am disappointed that a lot of issues people have is because of the abbreviated manual that comes with the washer that is in the downloadable washer. I had downloaded the online manual before I got the washer which is what people should do before even buying. I am still evaluating best options for my needs.

How long is the speed wash cycle?

Asked by: MySuper6
When you select a cycle on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.0 cu. ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer with TurboDrum™ Technology, Model # WT7150CW, the default time for that cycle is displayed. This time will change as modifiers or options are selected. If the display shows --, then the time will be displayed after the load sensing has detected the load size. The time shown is only an estimate. This time is based on normal operating conditions. Several external factors (load size, room temperature, incoming water temperature, etc.) can affect the actual time. Once the Start/Pause button is pressed, the washer will measure the size of the load. The estimated time may change once the load size has been measured...^Ivan

why does the rinse cycle only consist of spinning and spraying water for 30 or so seconds? The clothes are tight up against the drum after spinning so how does the spray rinse the clothes that are on the bottom?

Asked by: Moni7263
I do not have problems with suds as I do use HE detergent. My question is how do all the clothes get rinsed properly when it only sprays for 30 or so seconds after a spinning cycle. The spray does not hit the clothes that are tight up against the drum at the bottom. Only the clothes on top are hit with the water. How are there 3 rinse cycles??? I don't even consider it a cycle. It is so frustrating that I don't receive any response to my emails/texts/phone calls. I will never again buy any LG product.

How do I drain the water from this machine ? Which bottom to Press?

Asked by: Milagroskmp
You don't have to do anything or press any button for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Top Load Washer, Model # WT7100CW. It has a Forced Drain System that automatically drains the water after the wash cycle and after each rinse cycle. If the washer is not draining, you may have a clog in your drain and you will need to get a qualified plumber to unclog the drain. If you are inquiring about the Spin Only option that you can use to spin your clothes and drain water from the tub, press and hold the Spin button for 3 seconds to activate the Spin Only function (see the diagram for the control panel on page 21 in your owner's manual) The instructions for activating the Spin Only cycle can be found on page 27 under 'Spin Only' in your owner's manual...^Ivan

Is anyone having trouble with the water levels? Even when I put the extra water button on, my clothes sit in about 2 inches of water forever. When it finally does start washing the clothes, it has already drained out my soapy water.

Asked by: janer179
The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Top Load Washer, Model # WT7100CW is a High-Efficiency washer and it will automatically detect the load size. Because of the high-efficiency wash system, the water level may not completely cover the load..^Ivan
