What people are saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible noise after 5 uses This machine was installed on Oct 20,2020. Used maybe 4/5 times since then. Loaded 4 light/cotton fitted sheets and pillow cases and started a cycle. Then came the terrible grinding noise. Makes no noise when it runs empty but even with 2 sheets it makes this crazy noise. I was told by the customer service rep that since it made noise with clothes in it, I have to babysit the machine and keep adjusting the clothes. How do I do that when it’s running??

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beater than expected We have been using this washer for 3 weeks now. I have a family of 4. I like the large load capacity and how it displays the time remaining. My one complete is I have not been able to connect to wifi after a few attempts.

Is this product made in USA?

Asked by: Jemabuy
Hi Jemabuy. You will have to either look at the nameplate attached to the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.5 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Top Load Washer with TurboWash3D™ Technology, Model # WT7800CW or the shipping carton that it is shipped in for the Country of Manufacture/ Country of Assembly. As a multinational corporation, LG Electronics maintains manufacturing facilities and suppliers all over the world, including a factory near Claksville, Tennessee...^IFV

I only have one cold water valve. Can I use this?

Asked by: fred222
If you only have one cold water faucet then you will need to split the cold water supply and attach it to both the hot and cold water inlet valves on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.5 cu.ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled Top Load Washer with TurboWash3D™ Technology, Model # WT7800CW. That means you can only do cold washes for any temperature setting on the washer and will not have warm or hot water settings...^IFV

How do I get it to just spin to remove all water?

Asked by: RitaAnn
Select the Rinse and Spin option to rinse and spin a load separately from a regular cycle. This can be helpful in preventing fresh stains from setting in fabrics. You can change the spin speed by pressing the Spin button. 1 Press the Power button to turn on the washer. 2 Press the Special Care button repeatedly until Rinse+Spin is selected. 3 Press the Start/Pause button. ^CP

What size washer pan should I get to accommodate this unit? I'm assuming it doesn't have to be the exact size of the posted dimensions as the feet will raise it up.

Asked by: Larkus
Hi Larkus. The W x D dimensions for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.5 cu.ft. Smart wi-fi Enabled Top Load Washer with TurboWash3D™ Technology, Model # WT7800CW are a guide as to what size the washer pan to use with the washer should be. The leveling feet on the washer do not lift up high enough for you to slide a washer pan under the washer so the washer needs to sit in the washer pan and the width & depth dimensions for the washer (27" x 28 3/8") are your guide. The lip on the washer pan should be 1 inch at most...^IFV

When will the U S built or assembled LG washers, be available to buy here in the U S? Will the washers be advertised as being made in the USA, so that we can know which ones they are?

Asked by: auntlucy2
We already have a few models being sold by retailers that are made in the U.S. The shipping carton for the washers will indicate the country of manufacture/country of assembly and the nameplate on the washers that shows the model number serial number & electrical data will also the country of manufacture/country of assembly...^IFV

Which is the best cycle for sheets? Bedding takes a lot of time and water, spin takes for ever.

Asked by: LilianaM
The bedding cycle is for washing blankets or bulky items. It is designed for large items such as blankets, comforters, and sheets. Use this cycle for items such as pillows, comforters, pet bedding and other articles which have difficulty absorbing water. Keep like items together. Do not mix large/bulky items with smaller articles of clothing. Do not use this cycle to wash a mixed load of bedding and non-bedding items.
