Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best flip phone for texting with T3 prediction Works for everything talk and text related. If you need a basic flip phone, this is perfect for you especially if you can get it GSM unlocked

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Memory Limitations This phone has severe memory limitations due to appalling design flaws. After using it a while, you will start to get error messages telling you there is not enough memory to get text or email messages. Deleting all messages and photos will not free up the memory. The only way to restore full functionality is via a hard reset. That will wipe out all files including your contact information. There is apparently no way to back up your data prior to resetting. Great design. I guess this is LG's way of telling you that you need to spend a lot of money on a smart phone. Guess what, some of their Smart Phones have severe design flaws as well. I have an Optimus G (E970) and you can't update the operating system. Plus it has other problems in the design. LG is poor at design, quality or standing behind their products. Never again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Limitations After doing research and calling LG tech support, here is a big limitation that matters to me- it's not compatible with using a hands-free device, wired or wireless. In other words, you will have the hold the phone up to your face to talk all the time as there is no wired or blue-tooth compatible head set available. As other reviewers have stated, there is also no software data transfer cable/compatibility to move your contacts from your old phone to new, which means manually retyping in your contacts data.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disregard Some Reveiws If you are reading these reviews I'm sure you have heard about the vibration call problem. To clarify it does not buzz while ringing. When you call someone it mvibrates when they pick up. I actually find it useful. However this may be an annoyance to some. Maybe LG will patch this and give an option to turn it off. The "soft button" for browsing is a minor complaint because you can program the keypad to have 4 hot buttons. You CAN delete messages. So far my LG True has not died on me. Battery is ten times better than a smartphone's. Also I would like to mention something no one else has. The icon menu CAN be changed into a list menu if it fits your fancy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Talk and text impossible with this camera Not impossible but I want phone and text is what I use more but the inbox gets full quickly and I have to manually delete texts, I cannot save certain texts. It does not drop the oldest texts to allow a new one to arrive. But it will beep at you every other minute with "Inbox Full" messages. Why do phones have cameras and video cameras? I want a phone and I have real cameras, all this is extraneous fluff uses up memory I would imagine. The menus are hard to navigate and very poorly worded. There is no ear/mouth piece jack either. That is a real minus unless you enjoy bending elbow with something other than a beer. I had to get this phone since my other was going obsolete. It was better and had what I wanted. Cricket said get this phone now for free or lose your phone number. Well my number is mine and has been even before Cricket was in business. Businesses are getting away with too much because people do not complain anymore. (ok I am an old guy but it is a shame what companies do to customers these days)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Annoying and not "basic" I wanted an old school flip phone, and this was the only one available at Cricket. I regret my purchase. It is a silly, annoying phone, and not very easy, or nice to use. How can a simple flip phone be annoying? Who wants their phone to vibrate every time someone answers a call? It is so annoying, and sometimes it is startling! You are just innocently waiting for the phone to pick up, and then you get a vibrating buzz on your face and ear. It is horrible and I hate it. I agree with the others commenting on the very short battery life, my old phone lasted for days without recharging, this one lasts about a day and a half. Also, it emits a terrible "low battery" alert tone. The tone sounds like a clown horn, it's so embarrassing! The "TTS mode on" button is next to the "clear" and "end call" buttons. I guess this is good if you often need the TTS feature, but I bet most people do not, the location of the button is too prominent in my opinion. I accidentally hit it sometimes, and again, it is annoying. This phone also has all the other drawbacks of flip phones (tiny screen, bad camera, etc.) However, it does seem very sturdy! Indestructible is a good thing that I like about it. But because of the annoying features that cannot be turned off, I would not recommend this phone to anyone. I also agree that the browser button is badly located, and unneeded. It's just another irritating thing about this phone. This phone seems as if it was design as a punishment to all the people who want a basic phone, with a simple cell phone plan. Avoid this phone if you can.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A phone that lets me know when I have a message! I returned to an LG phone in hopes of again having a phone that would continue to issue an audible alert when there was a new voice or text message and the LG True B460 does do that. It pairs with my old Jabra Journey Bluetooth device and the voice dial feature is compatible with the Journey's one touch system even with the True's handset closed. However, the confirmation part of the voice dial is hard to understand and does not articulate well. I have to wait and hear who answers to be sure of who I called. The tiny USB port is only for charging and does not work for data transfer. Still, I was able to transfer all my contacts at once by pairing the old and new phone together and send the contacts via the Bluetooth connection. As noted by other reviews, the phone vibrates whenever a call connects and the soft keys cannot be reassigned - frustrating as the right soft key is assigned to a web browser and what can you read from the internet on a screen this small? I got this phone because I don't use the web on it. Yet, I am overall happy with it. I really wanted to stay with a flip so I didn't have to constantly protect the screen and keys.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Okay but not worth much It works okay but not great. My greatest complaint is that there is a soft button for Browser. I will guess and say that 95 % of owners are not using this phone to access the Internet, there are hundreds of better phones to do that. I believe most owners use this phone for basic voice communication and short messages. I would like for the browser button to be a direct access to the contact list. HAVING TO HIT 4 BUTTONS TO VIEW CONTACT LIST IS ABSOLUTELY INSANE.
