Can this phone connect to a 5ghz only wifi?

Asked by: Tom22H
Hi Tom22H. Tracfone gives you access to all four major carriers, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint and they will let you use the LG Journey™ LTE | TracFone, Model # LGL322DLATRFBKY on all four carriers. Nowadays, most Verizon and Sprint phones do have SIM cards, because SIM cards are required to support LTE coverage. However, these SIM cards don’t function the same way that GSM ones do. Regardless, you can register and activate your current phone with a Tracfone plan no matter which network it uses. The move from 4G to 5G is different from past network upgrades. 5G isn't replacing 4G, like how 4G overtook 3G. Instead, 5G is building on 4G LTE, using updated radios and software. Right now, if you have an early 5G phone and upload videos to Google Photos, you're actually using a 4G LTE connection for that uplink. 5G networks in the US are something called "non standalone." They need 4G as the anchor to make that initial handshake between a phone and network before passing the device along to a 5G connection. Using non standalone technology allows carriers to roll out 5G more quickly than if they had to completely overhaul their entire networks with new hardware. With non standalone mode, [carriers] retain the same 4G core network and simply add 5G radios. With NSA (Non-Standalone Access), NSA relies on the 4G network facilities to provide more speed and higher data bandwidth. A 5G-enabled smartphone will connect to 5G or 4G network depending on conditions. On the other hand, SA (Standalone Access) is the true 5G network, where the 5G network has its dedicated 5G facilities to provide enormous speed improvements and minimal network latency (delay). The 5G SA network is independent of the 4G network and the LG Journey™ LTE | TracFone, Model # LGL322DLATRFBKY will not be able to connect to the SA (Standalone Access)...^IFV

What does the extra button do? The one below the volume buttons.

Asked by: Kidmast3r
Google assistant is what that button is for. It took me until I had my second phone to try it and like it. You can touch that button and tell it to do or ask it anything kind of like " Alexa"
