What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this microwave oven! I was impressed when the oven came out of the box because of the sleek design. I knew right away that it would be easy to clean - and it is! The only place that collects prints is the Start location on the door at the lower right. On the door you can choose 30 second increments with just a slight touch of the thumb, and you can slide the thumb along the timer scale to increase or decrease time without stopping and resetting. Other choices for cooking times and levels are inside the door. How to use them is clearly posted along the upper edge of the oven and the learning curve of how to adjust times and quantities is fast. I quickly learned that I could use the "reheat beverage" setting for a bowl of soup and to heat milk for hot chocolate. The one cup option for these foods did not heat enough, and the two cup option was too long, but by using the sliding scale once I pushed start I can set the perfect time for each. The one setting that I haven't mastered is reheating casserole left-overs, and for that I find it better to choose the cooking time, choose the cooking level, and if needed, add 30 second interval option on the front door. All in all, my impression of this microwave is that it heats the food gently and evenly. And the whole appliance is very easy to clean, inside and out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for elderly parent Love the the well-thought out design and small design. Great for small kitchens since it takes up minimal countertop space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far, so good It looks great, works perfectly, and fits into a space that only a .7 size MW would before. What is more, there is more space inside--a 12" spinning plate. Now we can warm up our oblong plates as well as the usual circular ones. It is also much easier to clean.

I bought this microwave in 3/19 it didn't actually come out of the box and get used until 11/19.   So I feel this is not that old.Any time I was to melt butter then thing shoots sparks.  I have a burn on the inside of the micro.  What causes this and why?

Asked by: MEMI
The sparks that you are describing that you see when you attempt to melt butter in the LG 0.9 cu. ft. NeoChef™ Countertop Microwave with Smart Inverter and EasyClean®, Model # LMC0975ST is what is referred to as "Arcing". Arcing, seen as sparks or flashes within the microwave oven, occurs when electromagnetic waves emitted from the magnetron during cooking strike a metallic or reflective surface. If this is only happening when you are melting a stick of butter, if you are melting the stick of butter within its wrapping, it means that there is metal in the wrapping which is causing the arcing and you will need to remove the wrapping off the butter and melt it is something that does not have metal in it. The wrapping on your butter can be metallized paper or metallic foil which will cause arcing in a microwave oven...^IFV

What are the clearance specifications for building this microwave into a cabinet? Ie how much room on the top and sides are required for proper venting

Asked by: LalZ
The LG 0.9 cu. ft. NeoChef™ Countertop Microwave with Smart Inverter and EasyClean®, Model # LMC0975ST is not designed to be built into a cabinet and there are no recommended installation clearances for that. Free airflow around the oven is important. You need to allow at least 4 inches of space at the top, sides, and the back of the oven for proper ventilation. All air vents should be kept clear during cooking. If air vents are covered during oven operation the oven may overheat. If this happens, a sensitive thermal safety device automatically turns the oven off. The oven will be inoperable until it has cooled sufficiently...^IFV
