With the new EasyClean® interior, you can have quick and high performance cleaning inside and out without using chemicals.

What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE my LG Microwave As a result of a kitchen fire, we purchased new appliances from LG, stove and microwave. I did so much research looking for the best ones to buy. Having LG appliances for 13 years, a refrigerator and washer and dryer set, I decided to trust them yet again. I'm so happy I did! We love our new LG stove and microwave. I really love the reheat features on it and I have been trying them all. Pastries come out crispy, not soggy as I experienced in the past with other microwaves.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from We purchased the model number LMHM 2237ST on 11/11/2017 and the microwave has died after only one year and five months operation. We contacted LG a number of times for service help and they did not seem to care since the unit was out of warranty.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unsure how robust this microwave is? I got this new microwave to replace the exact same model. The old one where the handle attaches to the door, the door plastic crumbled and broke. We are very light users and take care of out things. I have one daughter and my wife and myself, so no rough boys or anything. I hope this new microwave holds up better than the last.

Is this an 'inverter' type unit - e.g. cooks at 70% power, 100% of the time, as opposed to cooking at 100% power, 70% of the time?

Asked by: Toyman
The 'Microwave Power Levels' feature on the LG 2.2 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean®, Model # LMHM2237BD lets you program a specific cook time and power. There are ten power levels in addition to HIGH (100%) power. After you enter your cook time, you can touch the Power Level button on the control pad and enter your desired power level (0-9 and 10HIgh). If you do not select a power level, the oven will automatically cook at HIGH (100%) power. The Sensor Operations let you heat or cook common microwave-prepared foods without needing to program times and cook powers. The SENSOR COOK has preset power levels for 13 food categories. When the Sensor operations are used, the display will indicate the sensor category during the initial sensing period. The oven automatically determines the required cooking time for each food. The internal sensor detects how much humidity is coming off the food and it will tell the oven how much longer to heat...^IFV

How far down from the upper cabinet does the installation bracket need to be? My tile backsplash is 16.75” down. I know the microwave is taller than that overall but the vent system looks like it doesn’t go all the way to the back wall.

Asked by: PaulZ1020
Hi PaulZ1020. Regrettably, we do not have any measurements for how far down from the upper cabinet the mounting bracket needs to be for the LG 2.2 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean®, Model # LMHM2237ST. The installation instructions for the microwave include an upper cabinet template and a rear wall template that you can use to position the microwave exactly where it needs to be installed. The microwave oven has a height of 17.7" and it is recommended that you should have a minimum clearance spacing of 30" between the bottom of your upper cabinets and the cooktop/ countertop surface. When installed properly as instructed, the bottom of the microwave will then be 12.3" above the Cooktop surface. If you measure how high above the cooktop surface or countertop surface your backsplash is, you should be able to determine if the microwave oven will cover it or not...^IFV

I purchased this microwave on 8/14/2018. We just started trying to use the Power Level setting after inputting the cook time. The button rarely works on the first press/touch. In fact, it may take MANY attempts to function. Is this normal?

Asked by: BCB46
Hello and sorry for the inconvenience. When pressing the buttons, please be sure you are using your finger tip and not pressing with your nail for full contact with the button. Should you need assistance, do not hesitate to connect with us directly via Twitter @LGUSSupport or Facebook ^AC

Does the Extendavent move in & out by touch or does it permanently stick out from the bottom of the microwave oven?

Asked by: JeanR
Thank you for your inquiry! The LG 2.2 cu. ft. Over the Range Microwave in Stainless Steel with Sensor Cook, Model # LMHM2237ST has a Slide-Out Hood which can be pushed out to the front or the rear and will allow you to remove the steam and other vapors more effectively from the cooking surface. ^CP
