Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wakes up the whole house! Door closing & opening is very loud, but even worse is the piercing beeping that you cannot disable or change volume on. If you are busy and cannot get to the microwave after the timer finishes, it continues beeping forever. Extremely irritating and TERRIBLE design.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Functional but door closure problem I bought this LG over the range microwave because if the high rating. The functions are okay. The door closes awkwardly and makes a lot noise opening and closing. The door and function screen appear visually to be off center.

Can I turn of the repeat beeping if the heating cycle is complete and I can’t go to M/W right away.

The audible signals that are available to guide you when setting and using the LG 1.7 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean®, Model # LMV1760ST cannot be turned off. The microwave oven will beep four times to signal the end of a cooking cycle, then beep every minute for a short while after the cooking cycle ends. This is designed to remind you when the cooking time has completed. The unit will keep beeping every minute or until the door is opened....^IFV

Where can I get a replacement bulb

Both the Cooktop/Night Light and Oven Light replacement bulbs for the 1.7 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean®, Model # LMV1760ST are 30-watt appliance bulbs and you can find them at Home Improvement stores like the Home Depot or LOWE's...^IFV

LG over range microwave with the best ventalation system?

Hi Mark. When you review the specifications for our Over-the-Range Microwave Ovens, on each of their product pages under Venting System, it will list a rating for Vent Air Flow (CFM). For example, the Vent Air Flow (CFM) for the 1.7 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean® is listed at 300 CFM. The higher the number, the more powerful the venting system, however, that also means the louder the vent system will be...^IFV

The only LG Over-the-Range Microwave Oven we currently have in our lineup in a Smooth White finish is the LG 2.0 cu. ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven with EasyClean®, Model # LMV2031SW which has the same width, height and is slightly deeper (3/16" deeper) than the LMV1683SW. Regrettably, there is no conversion kit to make a black stainless steel unit white...^IFV

The top panel above the door broke without any pressure. We have only had the microwave for a year. It was the floor model. However, I just noticed the panel rubbing against the door. Is there a way to purchase this part?
