What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Dryer Really good dryer, very large capacity. Many drying options. My only complaint is that the drying process ends far too early b/c it senses that some garments are dry when most are slightly damp. I’ve been trying to find a way to bypass this issue.

I need to know what kind of hose and size hose I need to hook up my dryer

I have model DLG1002W and need the exact hose size
Asked by: Bleek
We appreciate your interest in this dryer and its proper assembly. According to the specifications listed on page 17 of the owner’s manual, the exhaust duct must be 4 inches in diameter with no obstructions. The exhaust duct should be kept as short as possible. The total length of flexible metal duct work should not exceed 8 feet in length.

Is there a side venting kit available for the DLG1002W Gas Dryer

This question was asked before and the answer was a support web site. There was no such kit available through the web site. My question is whether this kit exists at all. I want to buy this dryer, but probably cannot because there is not enough space in the back for venting.
Asked by: PotentialLGDryerBuyer
Check out side venting kit 3911EZ9131X as listed in the technical specifications as an option. I have no personal information about this item. There are also some rear venting options that are very compact and inexpensive, approximately 3" thick.

Can this model gas dryer accommodate a 100 ft vent run? If not does LG make one that can?

Asked by: mjest
Hi mjest. The LG DLG1002W Dryer like any other dryer must meet the requirements as stipulated in the International Residential Code (IRC) SECTION M1502 CLOTHES DRYER EXHAUST guidelines which states that "The maximum length of a clothes dryer exhaust duct shall not exceed 25 feet (7,620 mm) from the dryer location to the wall or roof termination. The maximum length of the duct shall be reduced 2.5 feet (762 mm) for each 45-degree (0.8 rad) bend, and 5 feet (1,524 mm) for each 90-degree (1.6 rad) bend. The maximum length of the exhaust duct does not include the transition duct." This means that vents should also be as straight as possible and cannot be longer than 25 feet. Any 90-degree turns in the vent reduce this 25-foot number by 5 feet, since these turns restrict airflow...^IFV

will my new gas dryer come with an lp conversion kit

Asked by: bandit1
We appreciate your interest in this gas dryer. The 383EEL3002D LP Orifice Kit must be ordered separately, and should be installed by a qualified gas technician, and the change should be noted on the dryer.

DLG1002W Gas Dryer Venting Question

Assuming the DLG1002W gas dryer can be vented from the right side using an adapter kit, how much space between the right side of the dryer and the wall is required? Also, if the dryer is vented from the right side, can the back of the dryer be positioned flush against the back wall? Thank you.
Asked by: Slip
could be flush with wall and vented directly through wall and in that case could be up against back wall
