Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features and good price We purchased this unit in January and we like the features the dryer has. The only thing I wish it had was a volume control for the end of cycle (very quite), other than that this is a great unit.

We love the dryer, but recently moved into an older home with no Natural Gas hookups. I am looking at an LPI conversion kit so as to use Propain but want to make sure I'm ordering the correct part.

Can i switch from 3 prong to 4 prong outlet

Asked by: 42mpdunn42
The Electrical requirements for the LG 7.1 cu. ft. Extra Large Capacity Dryer with Sensor Dry (Gas), Model # DLG2251W are 120 V, 15 Amps. The outlet that the dryer should be plugged into is a standard 2-Pole, 3-wire grounding outlet that has a NEMA configuration of 5-15R. It will not work with a 4 prong outlet which is a 3-Pole, 4-wire grounding outlet...^IFV

What do we do when the dryer doesn't truly dry?

We have had our dryer for just over eighteen months now and during the last four months or so the dryer has not performed well, we have cleaned the filters front and back, cleaned the tub. Placed smaller loads in for drying and we still have to take our items out to hang up to completely dry them. I see that others are having similar issues with this particular dryer, is there a problem that we the consumer have not been made aware of with this product? I hope there is an answer to this problem somewhere in your data banks that can assist with this problem, I thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter!

How do I troubleshoot when the dryer will not turn off

The dryer does not stop running when the cycle ends. The power button has no effect. The display turns off in both cases, but the dryer continues to rotate. The only way to stop the rotation is to unplug it from the wall. The unit is less than 1 year old. How do I fix this?

I am looking for a gas dryer with side vent option

The venting needs to be out of the right side of the appliance, not out the back with an elbow directing it to the side. It says 3-way venting on the website but then says rear only on the specs. Can you confirm that it is possible to modify the venting to come out of the side of the actual dryer? I am looking at DLG2251W.
Asked by: ihatechoosinganickname
Your new dryer is shipped to vent to the rear. It can also be configured to vent to the bottom or side (right-side venting is not available on gas models). An adapter kit, part number 383EEL9001B, may be purchased from your LG retailer. This kit contains the necessary duct components to change the dryer vent location.
