What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I only have it for two weeks, but I really like the way it works. Love the sensor function. It takes out all the guess work of how long it would take to dry a load. I also like the little light that comes on when you open the door, as my laundry room is not very well lit. And the little tune it plays when it’s finished is far better than the buzzer on my old machine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective Parts The dryer vent warps and pops out of it's housing after only a few washes! It catches your clothes on it and twists, rips, puts holes and otherwise ruins your clothes! We are on our 3rd vent. It should be a recall but when you call support they're simple answer is, "Buy a new housing". Yes, let me give more money to LG. Will never by any LG product again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Review update I am still very happy with this dryer. I do have only one complaint...the lint trap does not set flush in the front of the dryer and clothing consistently catches on it, stretching or tearing the piece of clothing. I am hoping LG has either updated this fitting or can provide me with a replacement filter that fits better.

My dryer won't start.  Smart diagnostic says "load too small,  clothes still wet".  I did try drying a single tank top & i ended up stopping the dryer before the cycle finished.  Now it powers on, lights/sounds & clicks but won't start drying cycle

What does it mean when under processing it says cooling and the dryer isn't drying the clothes?

Asked by: Deebird
We regret to read that your LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Dryer is not drying your clothes. The Cooling light should not be constantly on. You can perform a test to see the dryer is heating by selecting the manual dry mode then selecting the highest temperature and letting the machine run for a minute and you should feel the heat. If not, you will need to schedule a repair service. Your unit also has a SmartDiagnosis™ feature so you may want to contact LG Customer Interactive Center at (800) 243-0000 and they will instruct you on when to use the feature to diagnose the problem.

The dryer does not stop. No lights are on the display. I open the door, it stops, and light comes on in drum. I close the door, light goes out, starts running & nothing on display. Why won't it shut off?

We are going to be stacking a WM3050C washer and a DLG3050W gas dryer and need to know the options for where to place the rough-in for the dryer vent in the wall (both left and rear venting). I need the stacked dryer's vent height and side measures.

Asked by: Indrek
The only requirement for both the LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Dryer with Dual LED Display (Gas), Model # DLG3051W (the Electric version is the DLE3050W!) and it's matching washer the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.0 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Front Load Washer with ColdWash™ Technology, Model # WM3050CW is that you allow for a 5" clearance spacing for installation for both units. Both have the same height of 38 11/16" and the Stacking Kit, Model # KSTK1 does not add anything to the overall height. Regrettably, there aren't any measurements for where the location of the tabs for the knockouts for the rear and left side exhaust duct holes are, but looking at the images for the Dryer, they appear to be about 1 1/2" to maybe 2" from the bottom of the dryer which means that when stacked, the exhaust duct will be about 40 11/16" from the ground for either vent location. The male end of the duct must protrude by 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) from the Dryers Cabinet so it can be connected to the ductwork in your home. You should check with your building codes on the placement for the duct as that will ultimately be what determines where the ductwork needs to be placed or if you already have existing ductwork since all venting has to conform to local building codes...^IFV

Is the cooling light supposed to stay on?

For the first few loads, the dryer was great despite the cooling light being on, but now everything is still slightly damp when the cycle is done. The drying light and the cooling light are always on throughout the cycle. I've read that this isn't normal. Does it need to be serviced?
