I don’t see prongs in back of the dryer

Asked by: CollinsF
Hi CollinsF. Please pardon us, but we are not clear on what you are referring to as "prongs in the back of the dryer" for the LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Dryer with Front Control Design and SteamFresh™ Cycle, Model # DLGY1201W and will need some clarification. The only things in the back of the dryer are the water inlet valve, the power cord, the gas connection, and the exhaust vent outlet...^IFV

Is there a reset button on dryer Model #DLEY1201

Asked by: Char2665
The LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Dryer with Front Control Design and SteamFresh™ Cycle, Model # DLEY1201V does not have a reset button on it. A Hard reset can be done by unplugging the dryer and pressing and holding the POWER/START button for 5 seconds then pressing and holding down the PLAY/PAUSE button for 5 seconds. When you plug the unit back in, check to see if the power light and the unit come back on. If the unit does not power on, it will require a repair service...^IFV

Hello, My dryer (DLGY1202V) spins anytime the door is shut. The only time the drum will stop spinning is when the door is open and the door switch is not engaged. This even happens when I have not pressed the power button.  What should I do?

Right side venting for gas dryers?

I want a natural gas dryer with steam but I need a right side vent. The model I wanted will not vent to the right side as a gas dryer. What models will allow me to vent to the right with gas?
Asked by: PeggyL
We appreciate your interest in these gas dryers. All of our gas dryers are designed with the same venting possibilities. The gas valve location prevents the ability for the dryer to vent from the right.

Dryer keeps shutting it's self off and flashing end before the items in it are dry. What should I do?

Asked by: Tammy91
Hi Tammy91. We regret to read about the issues that you are experiencing with your LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Dryer with Front Control Design and SteamFresh™ Cycle, Model # DLGY1202V and apologize for any inconveniences. Typically, when the dryer malfunctions, it will flash an error code on the display that indicates what the problem is. Look to see if there is an error code showing and make note of it as that would help to diagnose the problem. This dryer also has a FlowSense™ Duct Clogging Indicator which indicates the amount of restriction in the drying system and can distinguish between a restricted exhaust duct and a restricted lint filter. This feature can be activated only on the Heavy Duty, Towels, Cotton/Normal, and Time Dry cycles if the temperature is set to medium or high. Your manual has instructions on how to activate this feature. If zero bars show on your display, then your exhaust duct is in good condition and the dryer will perform with high efficiency and the shortest possible drying times. If 2 bars are showing, the exhaust system will need to be examined for lint build up or other restrictions. Those restrictions can result in longer drying times and reduced drying efficiency. The exhaust duct may need to be cleaned or repaired. A four bar display indicates that the exhaust duct is inadequate for normal operation of the dryer. Your dryer also features SmartDiagnosis™ technology which helps to diagnose and solve any problems that you encounter quickly and correctly. With the addition of the SmartDiagnosis™ App, the problems can be diagnosed without having to call an LG representative. The application records and analyzes the special tones emitted by your dryer to instantly provide troubleshooting steps to get the problem fixed. This app is available for iPhone and Android smart phones and if you do not have either, you can then contact LG Customer Service at (800) 243-0000 and a representative will assist you in running the SmartDiagnosis™ test over the phone...^IFV

All of a sudden I smell a burning smell and so do my clothes. I have cleaned all of the vents for lent. It still smells. Why is this happening and how do I fix it?

Asked by: JSY1
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this dryer. Keep in mind that a Gas Dryer will always have some burning smell. Check for lint or dust behind the dryer itself. If this does not resolve the matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
