What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent monitor Very good quality. Image is top notch. Im using it as an external monitor with HDMI cable. Only one small complaint. The monitor wouldn't turn on when I started the computer. I tried different cables. This didn't help. The only thing that solved the issue was configuring the picture mode as 'cinema'.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good image quality I glad that I bought it. The graphic are really good specially for programming. I bought it on Amazon, they had a better price. The only think I don’t like are the buttons. I used two laptops with this monitor and I think they should have made it easier to which sources.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Some trivialities spoil the mix its a good monitor but I have a few 4k devices so I am not blown away anymore. But the reason I write this is to warn buyers of a gross shortcoming of this device made all the worse by its "triviality". Buyers could be alerted to it by 1 simple word inserted at a crucial point but since LG chose not to they were not ashamed enough to fix it. You judge when I tell you: They wrote the USB ports on the monitor act as a USB hub. What they should have wrote is: as a unpowered hub, which is pretty weak as even the cheapest TV/monitors provide at least power to their ports, but big LG? no small mind!

Is it possible to use the USB Ports at the back and use DP/HDMI Connection? Or the USB ports will only work if you only use USBC?

Is 1920x1080 the max resolution size? I'm using it with Mac OS 10.14.6 Mojave with the HDMI cord and the default is 1920x1080. The only bigger display resolution is 3840x2160 (low resolution). I wish I could set it to 2560 x 1440. Is that possible?

Asked by: Jingleballs
Hey, I'm just some randomer that has stumbled upon your comment after purchasing this for myself. You may need to use a displayport or usb-c connection to use higher resolutions as HDMI may not be enough to transfer so much data.

Does this monitor actually support HDR10? It's the third bullet in the description, but the monitor doesn't appear to actually have HDR capabilities. I called support, and they said that the product page was wrong. Is it possible to enable w/ firmware?

Asked by: Andy90
If our Support Center verified that the page for the LG 27'' UHD 4K IPS Monitor with USB Type-C™, Model # 27UK670-B is incorrect and that the monitor does not support HDR or have any HDR capability, then it is not possible to enable it with firmware. It would require a hardware (chipset) update...^IFV

When I use this monitor with my MacBook it mounts a drive "CRP DISABLD" then complains I didn't eject it when I disconnect. I shouldn't have to eject a monitor. How do I fix this?

Asked by: invertedspear
@ChrisPSM: I emailed and they passed it off as a Mac problem unless I can also trigger it with a PC. Doesn't happen with other LG monitors. Don't have a PC to test with.
