What people are saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for gaming I've had this monitor for a while now, probably 2 or 3 years. It's excellent in general but shines in gaming. Brightness is great as well. I run the monitor on G-sync compatible and I game absolutely smoothly with now screen tearing whatsoever. Colours are great as well and the size of the monitor is just perfect for a small\medium sized desk.

I posted this as a comment a month ago and realized today that is why it has not been answered to date. I just want to know if there is any update to the software for the 4 screen-split. Does it run on Windows 10 now? Thank you. =)

Why don't you list the ports on monitor.

People come to the manufactures site to get technical details. You don't even bother to list what ports are on the back or give clear enough pictures so the customer can tell what they are. It appears there is one HDMI and a Display port next to it but I can't be sure. I've seen mentioned that there are two HDMI ports. It would be nice if you listed this and there exact locations are with clear pictures.
Asked by: billlh
That is incorrect, There are 2 HDMI ports, 1 Display Port and 1 DVI port. the second hdmi faces sideways and is hard to see in pictures.

What is the supported range of refresh rates? Usually on adaptive sync monitors there is a range (30hz-144hz as an example) and I can't find this information anywhere.

Asked by: Charlesg
Apparently, LG has selected a variable refresh rate range of 48 to 75 Hz which means Freesync will be operational within those frequencies. The 75Hz cap or reaching 75+ fps can be fixed with a frame rate limiter set to 74-75 which will keep the card from going over that - there are several utilities to perform this and AMD Catalyst Control Center have this tool aswell (Frame Rate Target Control under performance tab). This feature also helps saving GPU power usage in games where you don't need to run full power for them to be playable on your own settings / preferences. The issue for me, seems to be the high value for the lower frequency which is 48Hz which means, getting fps below that value (minimum fps) will drop off FreeSync. A lower value like, 30Hz would be more desirable for me since game performance depends on the processing load in different scenarios among many different games. You can google some reviews about this model which point the above if that was the type of answer you were looking for. If the above doesn't worry you then this is a nice screen considering its format and price. ;)

How wide in inches would it be to have 3 of these for triple monitor set up and would one AMD R9 X fury graphics card with  3 Display-ports be enough even with 4K resolution on all monitors? i can only imagine what 12 screen split would be like.

Asked by: helper1
If you are using the stand bases that come packaged with the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 29" Class 21:9 UltraWide™ IPS LED Monitor (29" Diagonal), Model # 29UM67-P monitor, then you can place them side by side and the width across would just be an addition of the width of each monitor or the width multiplied by 3 which would be 83.03" (monitor has width of 70.3 cm ≡ 27.7"). If you're susing a different mount the total width may depend on that mount. As for what the AMD R9 X Fury GPU is capable of, you will need to contact AMD or check the specifications for the GPU...^IFV

Worth buying if you have an nVidia GeForce card vs AMD?

Curious as to whether or not this monitor is worth using for a gaming PC which utilizes a GeForce 960 card?
