What people are saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from white point adjustment I connected to MacBook Pro but LG Ultrafine monitor color adjustment didnot match Macbook Pro white point color so cooler color on Macbook and a little mat color on LG that is slightly different. I tried to adjust color on LG but there are no matching color degree.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome monitor and huge!! I bought this monitor a little while ago. So far it's been pretty amazing. Set up was relatively easy and the monitor arm is sturdy and easy to use. The negatives - Not much. My only complaint is that the usb-c connection goes dead if I don't turn off the monitor before i restart my computer. Not sure if it's a Mac thing or not. Couldn't find anything online and support was stumped too. In the end I figured everything out and it's working properly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice but not exceptional First the good: The ergo design is very nice. Easy to mount, good cable management, sturdy stand with a wide range of movement. It's also a snap (literally) to attach and detach the screen from the stand. So A+ on design. Now the bad: First, the monitor image less than I expected. Yes it does standard RGB gamut, but what is not stated is that it crushes the shadows to black. The monitor can be adjusted somewhat to compensate but it's not accurate... the black point is still too high. I would not recommend this monitor to anyone wanting to do photography work. However, it is very nice for office work or watching movies and more than bright enough. Second, The monitor and the Mackbook Air (M1) do not work well together using a USB-C connection. The monitor will not detect a connection after the Mac has been shutdown and the monitor has been left to enter sleep mode. Sometimes the monitor will cause the Mac start-up immediately after being shutdown. When waking the Mac from sleep the monitor wakes and connects most of the time. Thankfully, there is a work-around to all this nonsense (pun intended), which is to turn the monitor off/on when the connection can not be established... either by unplugging or holding the monitor settings button for a few seconds... but it is not as seamless as it should be. So in summary, the ergonomics are great, but it's just an average big screen that is good movies or office work, but not for color accuracy or fast motion, but don't expect anything close to premium performance.

I have a desk that is 36 inches deep. C clamp will work but can you tell me the distance that this monitor arm extends straight out? Concerned it will be too far away for viewing from my chair.

Asked by: Nim4ever
Hello, Nim4ever! The monitor arm can extend retract from 0 ~ 180 mm (0 ~ 7.09"). ^Jolly

Followup question... I plan to use each monitor on its own Ergo stand. I have one grommet in the desk and will drill another. I want them to meet in the center of my field of view. How far would you drill the second grommet hole?

Asked by: Russell B
Regrettably, we do not have recommendations nor instructions for how far apart you should drill a second grommet hole if you intend to place two of the LG 32UN880-B 32 Inch UltraFine™ Display Ergo 4K HDR10 Monitors side-by-side so they meet in the center of your field of view. You can use the listed width of 28.1" for the monitor to determine how far apart you want the monitors to be, but more importantly, you will need to measure the distance that the edge of the ergo stand is from the side of the monitor taking to determine where to drill the second grommet hole for the other monitor...^Ivan

I have 2 questions. Does the Ergo mount have a drill mounted option? My desk has a backboard that doesn't give me the depth to clamp the product on. Also, I have purchased two of these monitors. What is the recommended stand spacing for side by side use?

Asked by: Russell B
The Ergo Stand for the LG 32UN880-B 32 Inch UltraFine™ Display Ergo 4K HDR10 Monitor, Model # 32UN880-B features a C-Clamp that employs a slim, robust grommet allowing users to easily secure the stand on the edge of a desk or in a cable hole on your desk. It does not have a drill-mounted option. If you are going to mount two of these monitors side-by-side, the recommended spacing is determined by the dual mounting arm that you use. The specifications for the dual monitor arm will inform you about what widths for a monitor it will accommodate to mount the monitors side-by-side...^Ivan

Apple store sells the LG 24MD4KL which works perfectly with MacBook Pro, does this monitor 32UN880 work well with the new MB Pro with M1 chip? If so will two of these monitor work as a dual screen setup? Thank you!

Asked by: LG 32UN880
Unlike the LG 24'' IPS UHD 4K UltraFine™ Monitor with 2x Thunderbolt™ 3, 3x USB Type-C™, Supports DCI-P3 & 500nits Brightness, 4K Daisy Chain & macOS Compatible, Model # 24MD4KLB-B which is specifically designed for compatibility with macOS as indicated in its title, The LG 32UN880-B 32 Inch UltraFine™ Display Ergo 4K HDR10 Monitor, Model # 32UN880-B is designed for compatibility with any Operating System and has not been specifically tested with macOS. The monitor has a native resolution of 3860 x 2160 as does the 24MD4KLB-B and it has a native refresh rate of 60Hz just like the 24MD4KLB-B. Connectivity for the monitor includes a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode and data transmission, 2 x HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, 2 x USB 3.0 Down-Stream ports. The monitor does not support daisy-chaining. If the GPU in your MacBook Pro with M1 chip supports the monitor's native refresh rate and native resolution and you can make the necessary connections to the monitor, there is no reason why it shouldn't work well with your MacBook Pro with M1 chip. You may want to check Mac forums to see if there are reviews from other MacBook Pro with M1 chip owners using the 32UN880-B and have shared their experiences with the monitor...^Ivan
