Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good TV - nice picture and sound, only 1 flaw This is a wonderful TV. I love the picture and it has good sound (though we usually don't run sound through it, we did for the first few weeks we had it up). I love the voice control ability. I only have one complaint - it seems to logout of LG every once in a while. When it does this, you need to log back and and reestablish connection with Alexa (and acknowledge some permission user agreements, etc.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The picture is Excellent So far so good, I have had the TV for over a month. The picture is great, could use a better sound system. I thinking about investing in a sound bar. Overall the TV is a good value for the price I paid.

How does nano cell compare to Oleds as far as burn in?

Asked by: dmm01
The LG Nano 9 Series 4K 65 inch Class Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # 65SM9500PUA is still an LED LCD TV and at the heart of every LG NanoCell TV is an IPS panel. LG's NanoCell technology improves colors by removing dull colors from the image which makes reds and greens purer which is achieved by using nano-scale particles that operate as a light-absorbing filter to remove those unwanted wavelengths of light. Burn-in and image retention are possible on virtually any display. However, with an LG OLED TV, any risk of burn-in or image retention have been addressed through the use of technology that not only helps protect against damage to the screen but features self-healing properties so that any short-term image retention that may occur is quickly rectified. It is rare for an average TV consumer to create an environment that could result in burn-in. Most cases of burn-in in televisions is a result of static images or on-screen elements displaying on the screen uninterrupted for many hours or days at a time – with brightness typically at peak levels. So, it is possible to create image retention in almost any display if one really tries hard enough. And even if image retention does occur from extreme usage, it can usually be mitigated within a short period of time by turning the display off for a while, and watching a few hours of varying content (such as your standard TV watching and channel-surfing)...^IFV
