[LG Refrigerator smells] The ice smells and tastes bad

Troubleshooting

Causes and Symptoms

Smell from other stored food in the refrigerator could affect the smell and taste of ice.
In such cases, placing the food stored in the freezer in airtight containers and removing the food odors emanating from the shelves and walls will solve the ice odor issue.

Try this

Store food in airtight containers or plastic bags.

Refrigerators are designed with a sealed structure to effectively maintain cold temperatures.
As a result, smell from food also do not easily escape the refrigerator.
Therefore, it is advised to keep odor-causing foods particularly well-sealed in the freezer.
