What people are saying

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great picture!!...Durability?? I bought a LG B9 55 inch 4K smart OLED TV w/AI THINQ on 11/27/2019 after reading reviews and speaking with the LG representative at Best Buy, as well as, comparing the demo pictures of several brands of TV's. The picture quality was ASTOUNDING!! I can assert that the TV viewing experience was greatly enhanced because of the OLED picture panel. Unfortunately, after just 28 months the TV suffered a catastrophic failure of the OLED panel itself and according to the authorized LG service technician repairing it would cost more than the original price of the TV. The TV only had a 1 year warranty and none of the reviews or even the LG representative advised of purchasing an extended warranty due to a possible failure of the OLED panel. I expected that if anything happened to the TV I would be able to pay to repair it. The service agent advised me to submit his case report to LG support in order to request their assistance in anyway (partial or in full) of repairing this TV. After several contacts with LG customer service I was disappointed to be told that nothing could be done since the warranty had expired. So right now I'm weighing if I should buy another OLED TV with it's outstanding picture and panel durability issues or a conventional LED at a third of the price. I would only recommend this product with caveats

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV upgrade to get me through the pandemic This was my COVID purchase - the summer of the start of the pandemic and I have loved this thing ever since. It syncs well with my HomeKit, very light and the image quality is to die for!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Image with a Catch LG’s B9 Oled has improved over the years with better OS User Interface and LG's OLED burn in issue. However, this is the third I have had and I either had bad luck or a design flaw. The monitor stopped working and after investigating we found a small Crack with no possible way for it to be cause by us. Despite the great image quality. I believe that this TV like a lang Range Rover... Great product when it works. Very unreliable and what makes it different is the OLED REPLACEMENT COST more than a brand new TV. LG refused to cover this under their warranty. My previous last 2 C6 models I had an issue which first one I received with a damaged screen. Replacement had a burn in after a year.

Why doesn’t Best Buy sell this TV any longer? Are there issues with it? I have this TV but would really like to know why Best Buy doesn’t sell it any longer.

The LG B9 65 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # OLED65B9PUA is a 2019 model that was succeeded by the 2020 LG BX 65 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # OLED65BXPUA. Best Buy would have sold the 2019 model until it sold out which is why it no longer sells the 2019 model just as the 2019 model succeeded the 2018 model which also would have been available until the 2018 model sold out. We manufacture new OLED TV models each year that come with the latest technology and advancements and a new webOS TV Operating System that supports the latest technologies...^IFV

I bought a TV a month ago in my country a 55 OLEDB9PSB LG OLED model and it gets very hot so much so that my room is small and it feels warm with the TV. My question is if this model is like this or do I have a defective TV?

Asked by: Anonymous
The 55" OLEDB9PSB is not a model that was released in the U.S. and we do not have information for its specifications here in the U.S. Which country is your country where you purchased the TV from and what voltage does your country use? What is the power rating on the TV? Unfortunately, without knowing the specifications for the TV and its power rating, we cannot determine what the issue may be. The TV would have to be inspected by a qualified LG service technician or an authorized LG repair Service center, but that is where you run into issues because parts for TVs purchased outside of the U.S. are not available in the U.S. and the TV can only be serviced in its country of purchase. If the voltage for the TV is not the same as the voltage used in the U.S., that could be why the TV may be heating up to the point that it is heating up your room. The U.S. equivalent of your TV is the LG B9 55 inch Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/AI ThinQ® (54.6'' Diag), Model # OLED55B9PUA which has an operating temperature of 0 °C to 40 °C (32 °F to 104 °F) which shouldn't heat the room up to the extent that it feels warm unless the room is an especially small room with no ventilation...^IFV
