Inverter type of air conditioner for both cooling/heating will generate frost on the rear of the outdoor unit if operated in heating mode, it will run the program for automatic defrosting.
In this case, the indoor unit will be stopped momentarily and it will display pre heating/defrosting.
On rainy or snowy day with high humidity, more frosts will be generated and the defrosting program will be more frequently used.

Does it say defrosting or pre heating?
The function is used to melt frost on the rear of the outdoor unit during heating operation and when the air conditioner is stopped and all the frosts are removed, it will return to auto.
When it says defrosting or pre heating, then do not turn off the air conditioner but wait for 5 to 15 minutes until heating starts again. Rest assured when you use it.
Did you set the target temperature high?

When the indoor temperature rises above the target temperature, wind will be stopped and when the indoor temperature goes down, it will operate again.
