Whats the different from the 27GL850G And 27Gl850-B. Amazon, BestBuy,ect is selling the - B version and here it shows the G version? those it have rgb light on the back of the monitor? is the display port 1.2 or 1.4? And HDMI is it 1.2 or 2.0.

Asked by: Dade
They are all the same monitor. The LG 27GL850 27'' UltraGear™ Nano IPS 1ms Gaming Monitor with G-Sync® Compatibility is listed as Model # 27GL850G on the company site. It was previously announced as the 27GL850G and originally expected to use a hardware G-sync module, but LG has now updated this model to instead be an Adaptive-sync supporting screen, including AMD FreeSync support and certified as “G-sync Compatible”, and removed the “G” from the product name as well. Sadly, we have had to drop the 160Hz overclocked refresh rate mentioned in the original press release, as we changed it from a G-sync hardware screen (where overclocking is more readily supported) to an adaptive-sync display instead. The monitor can support variable refresh rates (VRR) from AMD FreeSync systems and to give reassurances to NVIDIA users the screen is also certified as “G-sync Compatible” for NVIDIA cards. The HDMI ports are version 1.4 ports and the DisplayPort is version 1.2. The monitor does not feature Sphere Lighting...^IFV

What happened to the 27inch gSync model that was showed at ces?

Asked by: whenisitcomingtocanada
They took out the gysnc module for this model which is a shame. Now it wont be overclockable to 165hz. Pretty dissapointing to wait over half a year for this model and it is only a 144hz panel with HDR 10 which is a joke.

Will it really have that horrible gsync label on the botton left corner ? Can it be removed ? It messes up the aesthetics of the monitor

Asked by: pandalin
So the 38GL950G-B which is an actual g-sync monitor has no such decal but the free-sync monitor decal is not removable? That makes no sense, who thinks this stuff up?
