55'' OLED 4K Smart Digital TV

I bought this OLED when it was first on the market in 2017, I'd never had a new TV before and fell in love with this sucker after pouring over details and technical specs. I was NOT disappointed. It was a marvel at the time and still what I base my standards for TVs on now.

Over the years this older model had some issues, and right around the 3rd or so of ownership is started to have some image burn-in in the red color spectrum. I was pretty sad about it.

So, I knew the TV was well past warranty by this point but put in a request to LG anyways to see if there was anything they could do - cause I definitely did not want to buy another TV. Turns out LG is an awesome company, they reviewed my case after sending in some detailed descriptions and photos and they offered to replace the TV screen (which is really the entire TV itself) for labor cost! I was easy to schedule, easy to replace for the technician, was a small fraction of the cost of a new TV, and now my TV has an upgraded pixel control board and it's back to it's former glory again!

That story is the reason I am leaving this review now, cause LG was there to help me out and saved me from having to buy another TV.

All around one of the best tvs there is . excellent sound, picture.

Out of all the tv’s I purchased the oled was the most clear. The picture is so brilliant and the colors so bright and clear

I bought the LG - OLED55C7P Smart TV several years ago. It is by far the very best of all TVs I believe LG TVs remain the very best you can buy . The quality of my OLED TV, especially in terms of startup, picture quality and sound, is superb. I have yet to see another brand that can match it. I even found the cost to be quite competitive and worth every penny..

In the beginning I was very satisfied with my C7 OLED. However, after only two years the screen is barely even watchable because of burned in images across the entire panel.

I bought this thing in 2017 and just had it repaired in early 2021 by LG. The screen had burn in from YouTube. Lg covered the screen cost which I was happy they did because this is my favorite and most used of my 2 Oleds from LG. Me using this Tv for the last 4 years have been a dream. Best picture quality I have seen on a display in 2017. The sound quality aint the best in larger rooms. Even getting one now is better then most display(Qled). It out classes almost everything other then a other Oled. The only downside now if you dont have a firestick, roku, chromecast, game console, smart bluray or want to stream from a phone or pc. The support for built in app is cut for this model. Thing I got on my C8 aint on this model like Paramount plus or airplay. I remember in 2010 I had a display from LG it went out LG wouldn't cover and the customer service was terrible in my opinion. I gave LG another shot because of the Oleds and they won me back 10/10.

I love the TV from the start. I have recommended LG oled to several friends, but now wish I had not. I have bad green burn in on the TV. This is a known issue with LG OLED TV.

In less than 2 years this LG OLED55C7P had major amounts of burn-in across the screen. I wasn't to surprised that the news channels "chyrons" near the bottom of the screen exhibited the burn-in first but now, the vertical center of the TV has major burn-in . too. The good news is that LG is replacing the display for free. The bad news is that it will eventually happen again.
