LG’s popular Cookie handset returns to continue its legacy and comes with updated and upgraded smart features to offer joyful touch screen experience.

“Sociable, enjoyable, and affordable, the LG Cookie Series continues the core value of the original Cookie phone which was to lower the barrier to make it possible for every mobile user to experience touch screen technology,” said Raymond Hernandez, corporate marketing head of LG Electronics Philippines.

The LG Cookie Series originates from the idea of a basketful of new cookies with a variety of flavors that meet the tastes of different consumers. The LG Cookie Series provides a wide selection of handsets while continuing the essence and legacy of the LG Cookie itself.

Hernandez said that the new LG Cookie Series upgrades the enjoyable and sociable user experience with captivating user interface, improved connectivity, and SNS capabilities with variety of design variations to choose from.

The first Cookie, the LG KP500, made its worldwide debut in October 2008, recording sales of over 13 million units. It is LG’s fifth phone to achieve this impressive milestone following the LG Chocolate, LG Shine, LG KP100 and LG KG270. The Cookie reached the mark in a mere 13 months, making it the fastest-selling full touch phone in LG’s history and helping position LG as the leader in full touch screen experience.

Based on the advanced touch technology of premium handsets like the LG Prada, LG was able to stay ahead of the competition and open the door for millions to experience full touch screen technology. The LG Cookie’s release quickly sparked a scramble from competitors to offer touch screen phones for the mass market, which only began appearing six months after the LG Cookie.

“LG Cookie KP500 and other premium touch phones are currently continuing LG’s leadership and the new LG Cookie Series phones will further its standing,” Hernandez said.
