LG Spotify Voucher Campaign Terms & Conditions

Introduction:

The following information outlines the Terms and Conditions of participation in the LG Spotify Voucher Campaign (“Campaign”) run by LG Electronics S.A. (Pty) Ltd (“LGESA”). The Terms and Conditions of the Campaign are hosted on the LG South Africa website (https://www.lg.com/za) and are subject to South African law. Participation in the Campaign constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Campaign Ts & Cs:

1. This promotional Campaign is organised by LGESA and is open to all persons of 18 years or older and residents in South Africa, except the employees and their immediate families of LGESA, LGESA’s advertising and promotion agencies, merchandisers, suppliers and associated companies.

2. The Campaign rules may be amended, by LGESA, at any time during the Campaign. LGESA reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel this Campaign in part or in its entirety. In the event of an amendment, alteration and/or cancellation, LGESA will not compensate any individual for any reason whatsoever. The rules and/or any amendments thereto will be interpreted by LGESA only.

3. Campaign Period: The duration of the Campaign is 19 May to 31 August 2021 (“Term”).

4. To participate, any one or more of the products listed in point 5 below (“Eligible Products”) must be purchased from one of our retailers, after which the purchaser can submit their proof of purchase through the redemption process via WhatsApp (072 741 5875). After the verification process, and if you are deemed eligible (“Eligible Participant”), you will receive one or more voucher code/s for use on the Spotify platform to be redeemed against their premium service offering for music streaming. This voucher code cannot be exchanged for anything else, and holds no monetary value.

5. Eligible Products: PL2, PL4; PL7, FN4, FN6, FN7

6. Voucher(s)s: Eligible Participants will receive voucher codes to be redeemed on Spotify for their premium music streaming service.

7. Selection: All persons who have bought Eligible Products from the product eligibility list qualify for possible receipt of the voucher codes. After the redemption process has been completed, and the purchase has been verified, the Eligible Participant will receive the amount of voucher codes due to them.

8. Neither participants nor Eligible Participants will be able to benefit from any free trial to the Spotify Service offered by Spotify after redeeming the voucher code.

9. Eligible Participants’ redemption of voucher codes and use of the Spotify service shall be subject to the Spotify Terms of Use found at https://www.spotify.com/za/legal/end-user-agreement/.

10. Notifications: Once the redemption process has been completed, there will be a 48 hour timeframe in which verification will occur. Eligible Participants will be notified by email or WhatsApp after the 48 hour verification process has been completed, and their voucher code will be sent to them along with details of how to redeem the voucher codes in order to activate the Spotify Premium subscription.

11. A replacement voucher code cannot be provided if:
- the Eligible Participant deletes or loses the notification email including the winning code; or
- the Eligible Participant fails to redeem the winning code before the last day of the Term.

12. The Eligible Participants may be required to provide LGESA with a valid form of proof of identity before receipt of any voucher(s). Failure to produce sufficient evidence as to identity may result in disqualification, at LGESA’s sole discretion.

13. In the event that LGESA/LGESA’s agent attempts to make delivery to any Eligible Participant at a time, date and place specified and agreed with by the Eligible Participant and such Eligible Participant is not there to take delivery of the voucher(s), and has failed to inform LGESA/LGESA’s agent, the voucher(s) will be forfeited by such Eligible Participant unless agreed otherwise with LGESA.

14. The voucher(s) cannot be exchanged for an alternate voucher(s) or for its cash value for any reason whatsoever.

15. LGESA reserves the right to disqualify participants where it considers, in its sole discretion, there to have been non-compliance with the Terms and Conditions or interference with the fair running of this Campaign.

16. In the event of a dispute, the decision of LGESA is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.

17. LGESA shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation, to require further verification as to the identity, age, and other relevant details of a participant.

18. LGESA may use personal information, supplied voluntarily by the participant, for marketing purposes for their other products and campaigns/promotions.

19. LGESA will not share any participant personal information with any third party except where such disclosure is necessary to enable LGESA to provide, deliver or in any other way give effect to these rules and/or the voucher(s), where such disclosure is required by law or where consent to LGESA sharing your personal information is obtained from participant(s) in advance.

20. Participants can choose to opt-out of receiving communication from LGESA at any time, by responding to LGESA on the communication received.

21. LGESA may make media announcements / publications of the names / photographs of participant/s, save for where any participant/s expressly elect to decline this.

22. LGESA reserves the right to carry out audits in respect of any participant/s to verify their eligibility and that of entry.

23. In the event that an Eligible Participant, for whatsoever reason, is unable to receive the voucher(s), utilise the voucher(s) for whatsoever reason the Eligible Participant will forfeit the entire voucher(s). There will be no compensation, in any form, (including, but not limited to monetary compensation, irrespective of the reason(s) for inability of the Eligible Participant to receive the voucher(s).)

24. All participants indemnify LGESA, its directors, officers, employees, representatives, agents, and its associated companies (and their directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents) against any / all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever from their participation in any way howsoever in this Campaign.

25. All ownership and risk shall pass to the Eligible Participant on receipt of the voucher(s). LGESA shall not be held liable for any defects or damage occurring after the transfer of ownership to the winning participant. Nor will LGESA be liable for any costs incurred by the winning participant related to the voucher(s) after the transfer of ownership thereof.
