What is the prewash option for on my LG washer?

Prewash is an option that is available on some cycles to allow loads to be pretreated prior to the actual wash cycle.

This is beneficial for loads that have heavy soil levels.

This cycle adds 16 minutes to the overall time of the cycle, as it will perform a short wash, rinse and then drain.

The detergent dispenser has a compartment to add detergent for a prewash setting.

This option is not available on all cycles.
