Unit Won't Power On - Window or Through the Wall

If the air conditioner does not power on, possible causes are; power outage in the home tripped the circuit breaker, the outlet that the unit is plugged into does not have power, or the unit may require a repair service. If the air conditioner does not power on, possible causes are: power outage in the home tripped the circuit breaker, the individual outlet has no power, or the unit is defective.

  1. The air conditioner power plug has an indicator light which can be OFF (No Light), GREEN, or RED (orange).

    • Plug the air conditioner into the wall outlet.

  2. First check if the circuit breaker was tripped. Then, test if the outlet has power by plugging in another electric device besides the air conditioner.

    Is the outlet receiving power?

    YesNo
    • Press RESET on the power plug.

    • Power ON the air conditioner from the control panel.

    If the unit does not turn on, the air conditioner is not receiving power. The unit will require a repair service please visit our Request a Repair page.

  3. The outlet is not receiving power. Contact an electrician for further assistance.

  4. The air conditioner IS receiving power.

    • Press the TEST button on the power plug.

    • Press the RESET button on the power plug.

    • Press the POWER button on the control panel.

  5. The air conditioner has a safety relay that may have been tripped causing the power OFF condition.

  6. The unit will require a technician to check the CONTROL PANEL, please visit our Request a Repair page.

    • Press RESET on the power plug. The indicator light should turn GREEN.

    • Press POWER on the air conditioner control panel.

  7. Power should now be restored to the air conditioner.
