It's easier than ever to connect your external devices to your LG TV: your cable box, Blu-ray or streaming player, as well as your PC and other devices, can all be plugged in using HDMI.

HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface—a fancy name for a type of digital connection that can transmit both high-definition video and high-resolution audio signals via the same cable. Most new LG TVs have at least a couple HDMI jacks, but you may have more than two external devices to connect to your TV—so choose what works best for you—it really comes down to personal preference and what input ports you have available.

The great thing about HDMI connections is that they're so easy to set up. Simply connect one end of the HDMI cable into one of your TV's HDMI input ports and then connect the other end into your HD device's output ports.

As far as buying HDMI cables, one last thing to note: the industry consensus is that the more expensive cables are no better at transmitting HD video and audio than the less expensive kind. So, do yourself a favor and save your money.
