When the laundry comes out with lint attached or there is a moldy odor, clean the tub periodically using the recommended cleaner.
By cleaning the tub once a month, you can ensure that the tub remains clean all of the time.
If tcL blinks in the remaining time display when you turn on the power, it indicates that it is time to clean the tub.
Remove the entire load of laundry and clean the tub.
Models with the Tub Clean function
➔ For models with the [Tub Clean] function, run the course immediately after adding the cleaner.
1. Turn on the [Power] button.
2. Press the [Course] button and select the [Tub Clean] course.
3. Spray the correct amount of tub cleaner indicated on the detergent evenly onto the tub.
※ The cleaner, the Home Star Perfect Tub Cleaner, developed through collaboration between LG, H&H Co., Ltd. and the LG Electronics Washing Machine Business Division is recommended.
(It can be purchased easily from LG service centers, department stores and distribution stores.)
4. Press the [Start/Pause] button.
The remaining time will be displayed on the display window.
5. After cleaning is complete, a completion alarm will sound and the power will be turned off automatically approximately 10 seconds later.
Models with no Tub Clean function
1. Spray the correct amount of tub cleaner indicated on the detergent evenly onto the tub.
※ The cleaner, the Home Star Perfect Tub Cleaner, developed through collaboration between LG, H&H Co., Ltd. and the LG Electronics Washing Machine Business Division is recommended.
(It can be purchased easily from LG service centers, department stores and distribution stores.)
2. Fill 2/3 of the tub or more with water, operate the washing machine initially for 2 to 3 minutes to dilute the cleaner with water and then turn off the power.
3. When the soaking time (2 to 4 hours) has passed, turn on the power again.
It is not recommended to use the undiluted Yuhanrox product for cleaning the tub due to the possibility of misuse and damage to the tub.
Use a tub cleaner sold in the market.

※ For clean filter (sky blue) models, hot water cannot be selected in the Tub Clean course.
If you wish to clean the tub with hot water, select and run an option in the Normal cycle with no laundry.
(Example: Normal cycle + Select hot water and Soak + Select 10 as the water level, once for rinsing and low for Spin cycle)
- After washing, leave the door open until any moisture inside has dried out.
- Add only the amounts recommended by the manufacturer indicated on the detergent and fabric softener containers, and dilute highly concentrated fabric softeners with water before use.
- Cleaning the tub periodically can maintain a cleaner washing machine. (Once a month is recommended)
- Natural detergents (soaps) are not recommended as they do not dissolve well in water and make it easier for separated dirt and residue to build up in the tub.
- If the product is installed in a humid and shady place, or if the product has not been used or maintained for a long period of time, it may be severely contaminated.
If you haven't cleaned the tub for 6 months or more, clean the tub repeatedly 3 times.
