LG Range - EasyClean™ vs Self Clean[Narrator]
How will you clean your LG oven? Easy Clean or Self Clean?
This video will discuss the differences between the 2 cleaning modes and the appropriate uses for each one.
The Easy Clean feature takes advantage of LG's new enamel to help lift soils without harsh chemicals.
It only requires water, and takes just 20 minutes and low temperatures to help loosen light soils before hand-cleaning.
On the other hand, the Self-Clean cycle takes anywhere from 3 to 5 hours and uses very hot temperatures.
To clean the oven cavity the high temperature burns the soils to ashes. So you may see some smoke or notice an odor when the Self-Clean is being used.
However it requires less hand cleaning after the cycle.
The Easy Clean is quick and effective for small and light soils, and everyday messes such as drops of cheese from pizzas, or light splatter from broiling.
The Self Cleaning feature takes more time but can be used to remove heavy both of soils that are difficult to clean such as sugar based soils. Also for hard to reach areas such as the back surface of the lower oven, it is better to use a Self Clean cycle. Although Self Clean is typically used 2 to 3 times a year for a thorough deep clean.
You can use Easy Clean as needed for everyday messes.
Using Easy Clean on a regular basis to leave the need for a Self-Clean cycle and overall can shorten the Self-Clean time.
