Great Display, Great Cameras, Great Phone!
This phone has lots of features. I personally love the Google Assistant button and Google Lens function. Also, gotta mention the Second Year Promise. Apple and other companies charge way too much for warranty and it's a blatant rip off scam. LG gives it for free! This phone is a great phone. I will be keeping this thing and highly considering LG in the future. Thank you LG!

    Another LG Success
I've been with LG for a long time now. My last 4 phones and the V40 Thinq makes my 5th LG and it won't be my last! I had upgraded my son's V20 in June and couldn't get to my upgrade quickly enough! I love the V40 it's retained some more user friendly features from the V20 that were not so hot on the V30. So far it's an amazing phone and I'm in no way disappointed. One thing I wish LG did was partner up with Otter Box for their cases! I want color options!! All 3 phones on my plan are the same ... read more phone in the same case, that's how much we love LG & Otter Box and it's been this way with every single upgrade. I'm pleased that the V40 had and Other box because V20 and V30 didn't. Maybe offer a purchase combo!? I can't see me ever not getting the phone with the case and it would make upgrading a better experience.

Good phone, unfortunately battery doesn't last.
I've had this phone for a year now and I can't complain about much..Other than the battery dying in about 18 hours without use...If I use it about 6-8 hours of use. That's really it, it sucks that the battery is so small especially when this is there top of the line phone where your paying $900+. Hopefully the v60 or whatever is after the v50 has a larger battery that can last with 15+ hours of use... C'mon LG! Don't let me down.. I've been a customer for years now.

    Really excellent phone
It's hard to criticize this phone...I guess the one thing is it's lack of QI charging, but that's really a secondary feature. Physically, the design is beautifully thin and the build is super tight...obvious quality, nicer than an iphone IMO. Operationally with its processor and 8.1 it runs fast and very reliably. The screen isn't OLED but it's very clear and nice...we're talking about a mid-price phone. Haven't had a problem with any feature, nothing at all...and that in itself is unusual ... read more enough to be worth 4 stars.

Good mid-level phone, only needs one tweak
My wife and I have now had the LG Q7+ smartphone for 2 weeks. We are really liking the performance, size, and storage space. We hate large phones that barely fit in your pocket (if at all) and this phone is just slightly smaller than our previous one which had a 1/2" smaller screen. (Really, 5 inches is all you need for this type of device.) We've really liked just about everything on the phone with exception of the auto-brightness feature. It's almost always 15-25% too low. Too much that ... read more we've had to resort to disabling the feature. If LG could introduce an auto-brightness level setting (like on the Samsung S8, and S6 I think) that the user could adjust, I think this would be a better product and we wouldn't have any complaints. Other than the auto-brightness falling short, we do like this smartphone and are quite pleased with our purchase. It's a good device that doesn't cost as much as a more functional laptop.

    Great deal!
I love this phone. For it's price, it's packed with features and hardware that can compete with more expensive phones. Lot of people complaining about battery life but I think it's great. I easily get over 6-7 hours of screen on time. But I'm a bit of an expert at optimizing my phone. If you know what to do, you can get a lot out of this device.

Nice, but NO Visual Voicemail on unlocked on AT&T
Great phone so far for this LG G8 ThinQ model. I purchased the "Unlocked" version, and I use AT&T across off of the phone we have in the family. I was surprised to learn that the typical visual voice mail app that AT&T provides on the LG G8 ThinQ phone that AT&T sells comes with a supplied Visual Voice mail app, and on the Unlocked version it is not available. I went to the google play store and there is NO version of firmware for the LG G8 ThinQ anywhere to be found for AT&T customers. Looks ... read more like T-Mobile and Verizon have it posted on the google store, by AT&T is totally missing. What's up with that. One should be able to download the applicable app easily, but for some reason AT&T is not posting the Visual Voicemail app for this LG G8 ThinQ phone. This is impacting customer satisfaction for both LG and AT&T. BTW - my iphones have had perfect working Visual Voicemail for about 4 years now. One iPhone was bought as an AT&T phone and iPhone is unlocked and we had no issues downloading Visual Voicemail to work on the iPhone. LG and AT&T need to work better together to make sure there is a Visual Voicemail app that can be downloaded from the Google play store specific to the LG G8 ThinkQ. Again, this should NOT be an issue I should need to mention and LG should lean in to AT&T and get this corrected and the Visual Voicemail app made available.

    Even better than I expected
It is just short of a month since purchasing this phone so I am still learning a lot about it. The graphics on the screen are beautiful and clear. My finger just glides along the screen; you barely have to touch it. The sound is clear. Pictures come out clear. I don't have a bad thing to say about it. Other reviews mentioned how slippery it was, so I put it in a case right at the store so I've never had a problem with it being slippery. It's kind of a shame to have it in a case because ... read more even the back of the phone is beautiful, but I didn't want to take a chance. I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about it.

    LG family here
I started out with the LG G4, my family and I have had several LG phones since. After reading a lot about the LG G8 thinq I decided it had the features I was looking for and since I got it with a BOGO deal I got one for my son too! The quality seems to be very high. The battery lasts quite a long time. The screen looks amazing and is very bright. I love the fact that this phone has a headphone jack and an SD card slot.

    So customizable, beautiful screen
I have had this phone for a while now and unlike the Samsung galaxy phones I've had in the past, this phone has been pleasure to have, I do wish it had a bigger battery and I couldn't find the 128gb version but still am so happy with this and am pretty sure that I will purchase. se another LG phone for myself.

Can't root, great for Vanilla User
I've had awhile now to use this phone and it's a noticable upgrade from my old LGG3. I am reviewing the Sprint Model LGG710PM though and as far as Ive read (quite a bit of forum readings) it is not readily rootable which is a key feature for me. The performance is amazing but I still was rather unimpressed with the pretty massive amount of bloatware installed in this phone that really doesn't need to be using system resources, really limiting the true power of this device. But if you don't ... read more care about benchmarks and just want a rather decent phone regardless, this one is good. The camera takes amazing shots, the low light feature is CRAZY how amazingly light it records in a dark space. It's got an eight core snapdragon processor, making multi tasking/apping and window in window features run amazingly smooth. The graphics on MOST any game can run on max settings (Besides Black Desert Mobile currently where it's only hitting high in the graphics category instead of Max). I mean, I'm probably going to be using this phone the next 3 years so my score will go up when the eventuality of Sprint releasing the Boot Loader for this comes out. Once I can have full access to the power of MY device I paid for I would definitely give you guys a 10 out of 5 stars because this phone would be 200% of what I want out of a pocket companion.

    Like thr Phone
I have had the phone for approximately one month. I mostly text, phone, use the internet and have several favorite apps. The phone is great for all of these. Sorry to say, but don't take a lot of pictures. This seems to be a big plus for the phone. The only issue I have is that the battery life is very poor. I have to be charging the phone all the time.

    Overall a Great Durable Phone
I bought 3 of these V30 phones for my business. One of them has acted up starting the first 3-4 months. Verizon was able to figure out the issues for a while but in the 13th month the problematic phone started getting hot. We chose the LG because of the 2 year warranty, but we failed to note in the fine print it had to be registered with 90 days of purchase. So now its out of the 1 year warranty by less than a month and the 2nd year warranty never existed. When we called LG about this, they ... read more were no help at all.

For the past few years my husband and I have bought LG mobile phones, it has been the best experience I've had with LG I would only buy LG products because the features, imaging, space and capacity, and picture clear pics and videos. LG has really stepped up to the plate with the new LG phones that my next upgrade will be the V40 for my husband as well. Thank you for making your products better and more advanced with every passing day.

Best phone I've owned in 5 years
I haven't had a phone this good in many years. I have a prepaid network and the problem with prepaid is that you typically have to buy a low end phone or a nice phone at an exorbitant price. I was able to get this online at a good price. I can't really comment on the camera as I never factor in camera quality when buying a phone as I don't take many pictures, but I can comment on the smooth operating system and great call quality. This thing is incredibly light for the punch it packs and the ... read more battery lasts me all day easily.
